Would you? - Horse and Carriage

Laura M, on April 30, 2013 at 3:55 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 25

I now have the theme song to Married with Children in my head..anyways!

If you were a guest at a wedding and they had a horse/carriage ride, would you want to ride it?

love & marriage, love & marriage..go together like a horse & carriage!..sorry hehe

My girlfriend rode her horse down the aisle, but she admitted that she had to sedate the poor thing so he wouldn't freak out.

GREAT all I need is another song stuck in my head.

    MOCK-ING-BIRD-YEAH-YEAH-YEAH!! Bahahaha

I was going to do the same thing, then changed venues. I'm not sure as a guest I would, but as a bride entrance or something similar I would. I'm not gonna lie - it crossed my mind!

    No

    I'm terrified of horses

I can imagine some bizarre children wanting to though

Love it! Do it up! The potential draw back I see is that, depending on how long the ride is, either nobody will want to go because they don't want to miss out on anything significant during the reception, or you'll have a huge line out the door and not everybody will get to go who wants to go. What were you thinking? Like a quick jaunt around your venue or a 15-20 minute sight seeing ride?

I'm terrified too, so probably not.

Would you have it during cocktail hour or the reception? I personally wouldn't leave dancing and drinking for it.

No. I am also terrified of horses which probably has something to do with being thrown from one that freaked when I was a lot younger. I think they stink and sh!t all the time. I would not want them near my wedding and if I was a guest I would not ride in a carriage either.

Before it was married with children it was Frank Sinatra, whom I adore.

Sounds like a fun plan to me. I'd do it.

I would have loved to have a horse and carriage. Unfortunately my FH stops breathing when he's around them . . .

    I prefer him alive.

Okay no children at my wedding so purely for adults haha. Will be during cocktail hour. It's there to bring guests from parking lot to the grounds (if they choose that or the golf cart), mini rides during cocktail hour, and potential pictures for FH and I.

Lynzey- It's not the round cinderella carriage, was there A time where i thought about using that..maybe Smiley tongue..but no it's just a regular metal wagon or something.

Candi- I seriously thought that was going to be a clip of a bride or guest getting trampled by a horse lol.

Uhh, yep sure would. I had horse and carriage for my wedding and during cocktail hour my guests were free to ride in it. I got soooo many compliments on how fun it was. And it makes for some great pics as well. Smiley smile

I'm not sure that I would. I love horses, but I think the smell might keep me away at a fancy event. Although if it's the only way to get from the parking lot to the grounds, I 'd choose that over a golf cart for sure!

@Married My True Love, you got married at Grand Tradition in Fallbrook?! That's where I'm getting married!! I may have to connect with you and ask lots of questions! Smiley smile

I wouldn't, horses smell and I really do not think that they are romantic.
