Would you drink these?

Bar menuWould you drink these? 1

Hi all! We are down to 40 days!

We decided to go with the "Call" package (pictured). Package had to be purchased through a specific company (every beverage alcoholic or not has to go through them). We plan on the following substitutions/additions: adding tequila and margarita mix since we are having Southwestern food, prosecco instead of moscato, and adding apple cider.

So my questions:

Do people have signature drinks with an open bar? I've never seen it personally, just one or the other.

If so, what about these apple cider inspired drinks? Ideas of non overly romantic names or just keep as is? I'm definitely NOT a blushing bride! HA. I figured people may not know to order these variations, while they can easily order a gin and tonic without it being "signature."

1. Apple cider bellini (prosecco, peach schnapps, and apple cider)

2. Apple cider margarita (tequila and apple cider with a sugar rim)

3. Apple cider rum runner ( spiced rum, dark rum, apple cider, cranberry juice , orange juice)

4. Any other cocktail ideas with only the ingredients listed?

All opinions welcome. We love cocktails, so FH and I would literally drink anything! However, we want to appeal to the crowd. Thanks!

I think that package looks great! And I like the addition of tequila for your food choices - plus, everyone needs a little tequila in their lives! Smiley winking

I haven't seen an open bar with signature drinks, but we're considering it. Most of my family is from the south, I was raised there, and it's a big part of my feeling close to my family. However, a lot of the family living there won't be able to make it to the wedding in New York due to finances. We were looking at doing an sweet tea cocktail as a signature cocktail that would be served with non-alcoholic sweet tea before the ceremony to bring a little bit of the south into the New York wedding. Then we'd have that as an option at the open bar during the cocktail hour and reception, but not necessarily advertised as a signature cocktail with a special name.

If you do decide to do an apple cider specialty cocktail, I think any of the ideas you listed sound good, but personally I'd go for the bellini! Hope that helps!

I think your list looks good. By me, it's pretty common to have a signature drink (or 2) with an open bar. It's basically a fun suggestion for people, kind of like when you go to a restaurant and order one of the specialty cocktails instead of a usual rum and coke or whatever. We had a his and hers. I couldn't come up with any clever names so we just kept it at that. I overheard many people ordering the "her drink" or "his drink," so no one seemed to mind the names and likes the suggestions! I know my drink was popular because at 1 point in the night, they had run out of 1 of the liquors needed to make my drink so I had to walk over to the other (ironically also the only time I went to get my own drink).

I just did a classic French 77! It's champagne, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, and fresh-squeezed lemon juice. My husband did a whiskey punch which was also very popular.

Your list is great and very similar to ours. We didn’t do a signature drink and went with an open bar.

I think 2 sounds best, then 3! Our open bar didn't have signature cocktails though. Just a full open bar then a champagne toast.

I think is the perfect mix and I was going to comment that you need tequila but I see you’re substituting it so that’s great. I had an open bar and had signature drinks which were mostly serve during cocktail hour. We did mango margarita and raspberry mojito. We are both from a Cuban background and we got married in Mexico so that was a perfect combination.
I personally love the 1st one mostly because of peaches. I would also drink the second one because I love margaritas. Not sure of the last one since I’m not a fan of dark rum or spiced rum. Overall good mix and variety of all drinks.
