Who's going dress shopping with you?

I had four bridal appointments, two were just with my mom, one was with my mom and sister and another was by myself. However if I could go back I would've wanted my future mother in law there as well!

I haff my mom, sister, grandmother, great aunt whose like another grandparent, my fiance's sister, his mom has passed away and his three girls.

My mom and MOH (best friend) came the first time. My 2 aunts, grandmother, mom, and MOH the second time. And my aunt, grandmother, and MOH the final time.

Family only, I took my mom and then my dad showed up after work because I told him I found the one!

I had no idea what I wanted when I started shopping so I only brought my mom! I found a dress I love and intend to purchase the next time I go so I will be bringing the whole group - mom, FMIL, all 4 bridesmaids, and a couple of my guy friends that want to come.

My Mom and my FMIL went with me the 1st time I went shopping, the 2nd trip I went with just my mom as my FMIL had to work.

This experience left me wanting...I brought my mom with me, and that I felt like was a mistake. It turned into me crying because she was being kind of rude about what I was picking out and how I looked in the dresses...we've had issues about my body appearance in the past, so I don't know what I was thinking. My friend met up with us later, and she proved to be a good buffer, but it still did not prove to be a productive experience. My advice is, make sure you take someone with you who will understand why they are there with you that day: Take photos of potential dresses so you can compare later, say nice things and if you don't have something nice to say just don't say it, and make the bride-to-be feel happy. Getting married should be an overall happy experience, but often it is stressful, and I was hoping for this to be one of the more fun experiences because I went in to actual show rooms, and a seamstress, and oy...I ended up picking my dress on-line from Etsy when I had a day to myself and I didn't have everyone else's opinions in my head. It looks beautiful, and I am getting it cleaned...but it is a vintage dress and the cleaner has told me there is a small spot that she will not be able to remove. And my mom will probably notice it.

I will be taking my Mom, Brother, Son, Granddaughter, My Son's Girlfriend, MIL, Aunt, MOH, and my 2 BMs. WOW, I just realized that's 10 people. That might be too many opinions. I'm gonna have to rethink this, lol.

My best friend went with me on a random day I just decided to look at dresses one day after work.

My brother went dress shopping with me. It was the most amusing thing ever. He was the only one close by. The woman thought he was my fiancé because I guess some women bring their fiancé. Was a little weirded out, but had a good laugh.

No one. I'm doing my dress by myself. After watching say yes to the dress I want no opinions on my dress..!

My wedding party, so my cousin and my sisters. We will probably go and try dresses on together and help each other decide what dresses we are each going to get.

I didn't go dress shopping. I'm wearing a family hand-me-down from his aunt.

Went with a good friend (who's also our wedding planner) for a trip and my mom and future MIL another time.

I'm not honestly sure who's going dress shopping with me his sisters and nieces are in Medina Ohio we are in Cleveland Ohio so basically I believe my cousins and my daughters we'll be the ones going dress shopping with me maybe my mother if she moves back home the Cleveland before the wedding
