Who's going dress shopping with you?

I already got my dress, but my parents went with me.

My mom, MIL, MOH and bridesmaid went.

My parents & my sister went with me.

We found my wedding dress but my 2 grandmas, my youngest sister, my mom, and my 4 year old son.

I brought my MOH, my mother and my FH's mother!

Both! FMIL, my dad, my aunt, a bridesmaid, and MOH were there.

Friends and family.

I went with one of my bridesmaids, but I wish I had made a big deal about it and had all of my maid's and my FMIL and my future gma in law come with me.

I made a Facebook group for my bride tribe since a couple are in different cities. I wanted to purchase my dress online through Holy Clothing, so I shared pictures of dresses in the fb group. It worked out great and I got a dress I love!

My FMIL and my mom was on Skype video the entire time. Also.. my fiancé and his dad tagged along and ended up walking into the shop when I was in my dress - thankfully in the back obscured from view! The consultant had to escort them out like my bodyguard!! 🤪

Family. My mom and grandma went the first time, and then my mom and MOH went the second time.

My friends are going with me.

I'm going by myself for the first appt next week so I can figure out what type of silhouette I want. Then FMIL and I are going in mid-July when she's in town. The first appt is a little longer (hour and a half) so I want to be able to try on a little of everything without stressing out over time. The 2nd appt is only an hour.

Friends. I know they will be honest with me about what they can and can’t see me walking down the isle in, but in a respectful way. My family would be a lot of drama.

I actually ended up doing this alone on accident. A local store was going out of business and had a crazy sale so I stopped to check it out. I ended up finding my dress and I regret nothing.

Originally I didnt go shopping - I decided years ago to wear my Grandma's dress that Great Grandma made for her (Grandpa's mom) as a welcome to the family gift. But the day that we found out the fabric was too fragile to bustle I was already going with Mom to look for her dress and we discovered they were having a major sale that day on samples so we ended up shopping for a reception dress for me too (and found one on a MAJOR discount).
