Wholefoods Wedding bouquets???

Anonymous, on November 30, 2010 at 2:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 19

I have heard of several people using wholefoods for their wedding flowers. Just curious to see if any of you have and if so, do you have pictures?

I am on a small budget (for flowers) and I am also curious to see what it may cost to get bouquets done here.

We buy them for the dining room table all the time and those ones are beautiful. Market District also makes nice bouquets.

Central Market makes amazing bouquets..Before I found my florist I went to them to see if they did them.. The cost they quoted me was My Bouquet $60.00, my bridesmaids $35.00. and all the guys flowers were $8.00.. It was cheaper than any florist I had met with and they have a great selection of flowers... They also delivered them to your venue for $45.00.

I have heard of Safeway doing flowers. Their minimum is $50 for the smallest bouquets, and bouts are $15. They too have greta flowers.

I found this, but you may have already seen it: http://wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/tulsa/floral-department/

    .

Also, I found this photographer's blog that has a bridal portrait session from a bride who got her beautiful flowers from there. It won't let me copy the pics, otherwise I would have posted them

I checked out their website not too much on pricing there, but i like that they are "earth-friendly". I'm using bunches direct for all my floral's, and i think i got a great a deal. I have about 18 centerpieces, 4 maids, and my bouquet's, plus some extras and it was under $400.

Let me know if Whole foods has better prices.

@ STB Mrs. Allen- Thank you for the pics! Love them and I will definitely stop by Wholefoods to check out their prices.

@ Anna D- you have the same budget as I do. Where exactly are you getting flowers and what types of flowers are you using? I want to keep mine simple and classic.

@ Miss Cupcake- Where is Pike's Market? I live in the Boston area.

Thanks for all the great tips!

I got them from Bunchesdirect.com, and i am creating my own bouquets. I am also keeping it simple and pretty (i think). I went with cream roses and im accenting them with light pink aisiatic lillies and i requested that they keep the leaves on the stems so that i could bring in a green accent Smiley smile

Just went to Whole Foods yesterday for shopping and stopped by the flower center. The lady there told me that I'd only be charged for the flowers, they don't charge for labor and that "it's not expensive" (I realize this is a relative term, hence the quotes). I'm going to meet with their floral manager lady sometime in 2011. She said they do everything though. This was in Alexandria, VA btw

I do alot of shopping at Whole Foods, and their floral prices have been comparable to floral shops. If you are trying to save money, I don't think that is the way to go. You can get gorgoues flowers at your local grocery store for much less.

We are getting our flowers at Whole Foods. First of all they were incredibly nice and helpful. Prices are amazing! You pay for the flowers by the bunch and they will mix and match them into whatever you want. Their fee for all that creativity is 20%. Considering one bunch of flowers is about $10 that extra $2 for labor is a great deal. Bridal bouquet with roses, calla lillies and hydrangea - $45!! (Another "fancy" florist quoted us $250!)

Note: they will not have every flower that a florist will have. If you give them enough notice they will try to get whatever flowers you want, but you may have to choose other options. For those prices I can live with that.
