Who writes the thank you card

Alyy, on October 13, 2019 at 9:37 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 21
Who writes the thank you card? Are you choosing based on who has the better handwriting? 50-50? Just the ladies because the guys could care less what it says? Let me know!

I wrote them all just so they would get done quickly.

I’m writing them all because FH would rather send a text 🙄😅 That and i keep a ridiculously meticulous gift log that is colored coated as to if we’ve received the gift/sent a thank you note/etc that he can’t seem to figure out 😂😂

I only saw the thank you daughter and SIL sent to us. She wrote it, but they both signed it. SIL has atrocious handwriting, and I'm sure daughter chose to write them herself.

I'm going to have my husband write the thank you cards for his guests and I'll write the thank yous for mine. Seems more sincere that way.

We split it. I wrote them for my guests and he wrote then for his guests. It came out pretty much 50/50.

We ended up signing the cards and then printing page long personalized thank you letters we put in them. That way they are personalized and kind but we don’t spend an hour writing each one

I'm going to do a picture of us from the wedding and it says Thank you on it, so no need to write anything on the thank you card just the mailing address. We both have bad handwriting and it just works out better people can hang it on the fridge or throw it away like they do with all thank you notes.

My FH's handwriting is atrocious, so I'm going to be writing the thank-you cards! I would go with whoever has the most legible handwriting Smiley smile

I ended up writing all of ours because when my husband attempted to write 1, in the amount of time that took him, I had written TEN 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Not his forte lol

I would say whoever wants to. I know it'll be me, my handwriting is better though is is very nice, but he wouldn't do it.

I wrote for my guests and my husband wrote for his. I did not want to be responsible for writing more than 100 cards just because I had better handwriting. My husband had more guests than me so he ended up writing more.

I have completely illegible doctor handwriting so as bad of etiquette as it is, ours will likely be typed Smiley xd

We just got ours in the mail the other day so we haven't started working on them yet but I figured I'd work on the ones for my family and he'd work on the ones for his family and then whoever's done first helps with whatever's left.

I asked my H to do most of them for his family. We did them together and were sent about 2 weeks after our wedding.

I planned on doing all of ours because FH handwriting is beyond horrible. I want our guests to actually be able to read them. But I hate liking the envelope, so FH gets stuck with that one.
