Who should walk me down the aisle?

Sarah, on October 13, 2019 at 8:25 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 6
My biological dad has never been there for me. He never sent me birthday cards, Christmas cards or even made phone calls to us. My step dad also has never really been a dad to me either. Should I ask my biological dad if he would like the honor? Or just ask my step dad? My step dad walked my sister down the aisle. I know my mom would be upset if my biological dad walked me and not my step dad. Idk what to do! Anybody else been in this situation?

I wouldn't ask either of them. I would want someone that I was close with to have that honor. Could you ask your mom, a grandparent, or a sibling? You could even walk by yourself.

Walk by yourself. No need to give anyone the honor of something they weren’t.

Honestly, I wouldn’t ask them. What about your mom, a sibling, grandparent? You can walk down with your fiancé or totally walk down by yourself. No need to walk with someone because society says you have to.
