Who knew Target sold engagement & wedding rings? o_0

pianoNYK, on August 23, 2009 at 8:33 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

I certainly didn't until just now, when I was looking on Target's website for unity candles. The ones I saw were in the $40-$60 range, with good reviews from the internet-savvy & not-so-good reviews from those not quite as internet-savvy.

We've already bought our rings, but figured I'd share the knowledge with y'all Smiley smile

Yeah, K-mart and Wal-mart also sell engagement rings and wedding bands. FH and myself bought all of our rings at wal-mart. I have a very pretty and inexpensive engagement ring and we bought our wedding bands there. For all 3 rings we spent $385.92. Not a lot but I think they are pretty nice.

So did we. I don't wear a lot of jewelry, so I can't see spending thousands of dollars on a ring....and besides, it's not the cost, it's the meaning behind the ring. Wal-mart has some very beautiful rings and they got great reviews, too.

I was thinking of getting one from Walmart for times that I don't want to wear my ring. For example, we recently went on a scuba diving trip to Mexico. I didn't want to leave my ring, with diamonds on it that is very sentimental to me, in the room while we dove so I left it at home. But I hated feeling naked all week without my ring, my husband wore his so he joked that it was like he took his mistress on a trip. I wished I had a $20 stainless steel walmart one just to wear around there! I'm totally picking one up next time I'm there

Laura- That is the reason I got a simple white gold bad instead of the diamond one that was suggested, for those times when you just can't risk it.

Like Sachele, I got a plain wedding band for that reason, too. It actually looks great with my ring, nice and simple. And I can always wear just the plan band.

Kohls does too! We got our inspiration for his band from there and they were 60% off the other day and I had a coupon for an additional 15% off of that. He's too picky though so we bought one online for a whopping $100. That's a great idea about the plain band. I hate panicking when i don't have it on, thinking I lost it...then realize I didn't wear it b/c I'm cleaning or it's being cleaned.

I have a diamond band that matches my engagement ring. We are planning on buying two plain bands for our 5 year anniversary and putting our original bands in a special spot.
