Who Is The Most Educated In Your Relationship/ Marriage?

Studies show that most colleges and universities are filled with women. As a result, the chances of a woman being the most educated person in a relationship are likely. Who is the most educated in your relationship/ marriage? Has that caused any issues? Do you think that the partnership should pay for that education or the individual who incurred the debt?

No, we actually met in high school. I am a year older and I picked where I wanted to go to college, when it was his turn I told him don't choose somewhere because of me, go where you think is best, he did, but we still ended up at the same university. We took almost all our classes together and he busted his butt and graduated in 4 years from a program that usually takes 5-6 years just so we could graduate together and get engaged.

Not at all! Since we’ll pretty much be able live off of her income, I can take more time to figure out what job I really want, instead of stressing about making enough money to support us

    Thanks!
He easily could go back too. When I was finishing my graduate life, my husband started seeing all of these friends going back and he started getting the itch. We ultimately had a convo on whether it was a "keeping up" itch or wanting the degree for himself.

He’s been talking about doing school part time, just one or two classes online per semester. I am a professional dancer and it doesn’t make much money dancing. If he needed me to support him, I would of course do everything I could even if it meant quitting dance. That isn’t the plan but if he asked/needed me to do so I 100% would!

FH has a higher education (he graduated from ASU) then he went into the military for 21 years. I’m a EMT/Paramedic, I have been with the company for almost 21 years. His education was paid off due to the fact he got several scholarships. Oddly enough we both make about the same amount.

I have my bachelor's in engineering technology. I would like to persue my masters. Fiance will be finishing his associate degree May 2020. I'm more educated.
It doesn't cause any problems, we met in college and he knew from the start I would be more educated than him.

Right now it's me! I have my master's and several certifications. FH has a bachelor's in psychology and a paralegal certificate. He just started a great paralegal position! The attorney's are all for higher education. After we get married, he plans on applying to law school. I've been looking at a second master's degree, but waiting for my brain cells to recover from my first one 😂😂. We have ZERO school debt. When we get married the only debt will be his car, but he's half way done with his car note.💃🏾💃🏾

I have a master degree and he has a bachelors! Its something that I am really proud of, and I'm comitted to paying off my student loans on my own. He has offered to help, but, while graduating was an accomplisment on its own, paying it off will be even more of an accomplishment. It doesn't cause an issues, per say (he has no problems with it, but sometimes I feel bad), but we definitely had different experiences with funding our educations.

FH is a high end trial attorney who handles federal cases as well as multi-million dollar medical malpractice cases. Sooooo- HE IS!

Meanwhile, I’m over here with a Wedding Planning Certification & going for my Associate’s Degree in Paralegal, have a Modeling business, run the home and keep track of his work & home calendar! Lol.... and I’ve got Street shares- where he really doesn’t lol..

Well, I have a Bachelor's in Accounting and Management and am currently half way through passing the four CPA exams. FH has been in college since 2011 and will be getting his Associates in Criminal Justice sometime in 2020. He isn't a school person, but his parents continue to force him to get a Bachelors degree (apparently an associates isn't good enough for them). He also would have rather gone into the military straight out of high school, but his family threatened to disown him if he did. Not because they don't like the military, they just thought the military was a cop out for school or something. Anyway, he and I are very smart in our own ways. I don't see either of us being smarter than the other. I have no issue if he didn't want a degree as long as he has a job with a living wage. It's a super long story with his parents and his student loans, but he has to get a bachelors degree per his parents or else we get stuck with more debt than we could handle which could lead to not being able to buy a house, etc.

Anyway, about who should pay for the debt. I pay for my own right now. Once we are married and have a joint account for bills, it will just come from there no matter who is making more or less money than the other. It's not an outrageous amount and will be paid off in no more than 8 years anyway, so it's not a huge deal to make it "our" bill.
