Who is performing your ceremony?

We are having a Catholic mass for our wedding so we will have the priest from my home church that I grew up in saying our mass! I'm very nervous but also very excited for this!

That's so neat!!! Why are you nervous about one of your home priests performing your ceremony?

I'm nervous as I moved away for college and fell away from my faith and hadn't attended mass in my hometown in a while but now I've begun attending mass where we live and communicating with our priest who will say our mass.

Ah, I suppose that's fair. But you're coming back to the church, so I doubt you've got reason to worry.

Our church pastor will be officiating our ceremony.

I grew up in the church, but my FH didn't. Together, we are not very religious but our ceremony will follow most of the basic Christian traditions.

Its a destination wedding, so "spiritual" ceremonies are quite common. All it means is that it isn't the official legal marriage - that will happen at home.

We actually asked one of our friends to get ordained online to save a little money, since we will have a destination wedding. Will only cost $30

I'm not sure yet, my fiancee' wants a church wedding, but I got married before at my church so it's out, and he got married before as his church so it's out. Neither of us are church goers really, but it's the one thing he's asked for so i'll figure out a place

Well it was going to be my uncle who is the preacher of the church I have attended since I was really young but unfortunately, due to differences in beliefs, he declined so we just hired a minister we found on TK. He seems alright but it's still kind of sad.

So far so good. Very thorough conversation, on how we would like our ceremony to be performed. The experience has been good.. We've actually found quite a few vendors on Weddingwire and all great experiences.
