A little of both! My two sisters, my FSIL, and two of my FH's cousins are in our wedding. The remaining are close friends!

I have my sister as my MOH, my best friend and oldest daughter as my BMs, and my youngest daughter as the flower girl. He has his best friend as his BM, the 2 oldest sons as his GM, and our 2 youngest as our RBs

FH and I 😉... The only truly necessary “I do” crew. Our family and friends can kick back throughout our engagement and simply enjoy themselves on our wedding day.

We did a little bit of both. My best friend is my MOH, a good friend and future SIL are the bridesmaides. On his side, his bother is the best man, then hes BIL and 2 friends as groomsmen. His nephew is the ring bearer and my niece is the flower girl.

Most of my wedding party is family and a couple of friends. Our wedding party is small which is good.

I asked my sisters to be my bridesmaids. I have 3 sisters on my moms side, and 1 on my dads. I wanted my best friend to be my maid-of-honor, but my mom and 2 of my sisters guilted me into picking my little sister. She will only be 20 years old so can't really do anything or afford anything. So far she hasn't talked to me at all about anything, and she's mad that my sister on my dads side is a bridesmaid. Moral of the story; don't try to make everyone happy.

Like most girls we plan this day since we even know what a wedding is. I had mine planned out EXACTLY how I wanted it. No idea about money of course so the plans didn't quite make the cut. Like having bubbles falling down and flowers float down the stream might not end up in the wedding. Just like my wedding attendants of thirteen girls and thirteen guys won't make it. I never realized in my seven year old brain when I was planning this that friends grow up and they grow apart. So my fiance and I are having a "two for two special" as we call it. My "best cousin friend" and my best friend for MOH and Bridesmaid. My fiance will be having his two best friends, both named John to stand with him on our big day.

We asked a mixture of both family and close friends to be in our wedding party. My MOH is my best friend and one of my sisters is going to be a junior bridesmaid. A younger cousin of mine is the flower girl and a few more friends and family are involved.
