Who Has Comfortable Wedding Shoes (HEELS)?

glam2013, on January 8, 2013 at 4:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 39

Good Afternoon Ladies:

I rarely buy shoes online because its tricky...I usually wear a 6 but sometimes a 6.5 and in some lines even a 7 if they run really narrow, so it has always been easier just to try them on. I also find certain labels to be comfortable than others. For me personally: BCBG, Steve Madden and Nine West. I am having a hard time finding "the shoe"...I saw some Filipa Scott shoes online with the built in pads which I think is neat, but no experience with this line? I am in loveee with a pair of Jimmy Choo with great reviews I saw and would get them if I can find them "gently used" with a HUGEEEE savings (the price tag is just beyond crazy) but wanted to hear who has what shoe brand and are they COMFORTABLE. I am wearing a mermaid silhouette dress so I dont want to be drastically uncomfortable.

Note: I realize that NO heels are comfortable per say but some pinch, run small, feel like they have no support, etc and just trying to avoid Smiley smile

Thanks in advance for sharing.

Wow Glam, I have the same problem and we wear the same sizes too. Smiley smile I wore some steve maddens. The heel was tall but the platform made up for it and they were actually quite comfortable. I just bought a pair of Jimmy Choo's, and they are sooooooooo comfortable. Which Jimmy's were you looking at?? Here's the shoe I wore for my wedding.

    OMGosh Married,

I loveee the shoes. Did they come this color or were they died? Is that blue or purple? Looks blue on my computer but I am on my laptop and the resolution is off. Dark purple is one of my colors that is why I ask. But again, these are GORGEOUS!!! The shoes that I liked are the second (middle) one in this pic. They need to be ivory which I am not even sure would be an option anyway but I just love them...

With these they probably werent the best choice as the heel does appear higher than I would like, but its just so hard to tell over the internet and I am frustrated with looking in person. *sigh*

Ooh I love me some shoes! You can ask WWChristina I have quite the collection Smiley winking

@Marriedmytruelove those shoes are GORGEOUS and something blue! Very clever!!

@glam2013 the shoes in the center (strappy champagne color) look like they'd be the most comfortable and wouldn't pinch at your toes! Any help ladies?!

It took me FOREVER to pick out my shoes. I was looking for something NAVY blue, with some kind of ankle strap so I wouldn't slip out of them. I also wanted a heel that wasn't too short because I'm trying to add to my height since FH is over 8 inches taller than me! To make it harder, I am on a TIGHT budget! I found "the ones" though on Amazon finally! Here they are! I usually wear size 9, ordered these in size 9, and they fit really well. They are super comfortable too- super soft! To top it all off, I didn't want to be stumbling around since my wedding is on grass, so I bought heel protectors. They have mixed reviews, they fit or they don't. I risked it though and they fit my shoes (and all my other heels I already have) perfectly!

WWLeeor, thanks for your feedback, I really do love those shoes in the center and thats very true they wouldnt pinch and I guess the heel technically isnt higher than any other heel. I make myself spazz out over the internet when I cant see the real product. LOL. PS: Your shoe collection sounds amazing!!

Of course @glam2013 it's what I'm here for!

The heel hopefully isn't too high, I see a little bit of a platform on the sole so hopefully it'll balance it out! I always check consumer reviews on sites (working at WW has rubbed off on me!) especially when it comes to SHOES (since I'm addicted!) Does the site you're looking at have reviews about the shoes and their comfort level?

@WWLeeor, no reviews on site where I found the shoes initially but going to try to do more google searching. You know how we do with those reviews, lol.

@Alex F: See thats what I am talking about...JOURNEYS would have never been a place I would think of and what I love about your shoes is that you can wear them all the time. So cute! Thanks for sharing your experience of comfort. I cant wait to mark the shoes off my list...

Hi Glam2013, I am shoe addict myself so I had to join this conversation, LOL!! I think I started to look for a shoe before my dress! I wear heels on daily basis, but was concerned about finding a shoe that was comfortable enough to wear most of the day. I recently hit the jackpot, or at least with look, LOL! Hoping for the best on the comfort :-)

Our ceremony is out doors so I knew I couldn't wear heels. I found a fabulous nude, peek toed high wedge from Steve Madden at TJ Maxx of all places, cost under $30 and they are perfect. But you might try looking for wedges as they can be-sometimes-more comfortable then a thin heel, particularly if you want some height. I am wabbly in a heel over 1 1/2 inches and these wedges are2 and I feel safe and secure.

@Sara M. - Thanks...Some wedding wedges would be cute if I could find any. I do want some height ONLY because I am only 5'0...so very petite. Trust, I am worried about having on heels outdoors and I may have to reconsider the height of the heels. Your shoes sound ideal for the big day. I hope everything goes well. Wonderful date you chose-- a fellow May bride and my little one turns 2 on your wedding day Smiley smile So we will have a BRAND NEW 2 year old as our ring bearer....lord bless us! LOL

Glam, they were blue. And they came this way. I LOVE purple as well. But I wanted my shoes to be my something blue. I did try on the Jimmy's you like and though I liked them they weren't very comfortable. Smiley sad I chose these instead. I LOVE them and they are SUPER DUPER comfortable.
