Who Has Comfortable Wedding Shoes (HEELS)?

Good Afternoon Ladies:

I rarely buy shoes online because its tricky...I usually wear a 6 but sometimes a 6.5 and in some lines even a 7 if they run really narrow, so it has always been easier just to try them on. I also find certain labels to be comfortable than others. For me personally: BCBG, Steve Madden and Nine West. I am having a hard time finding "the shoe"...I saw some Filipa Scott shoes online with the built in pads which I think is neat, but no experience with this line? I am in loveee with a pair of Jimmy Choo with great reviews I saw and would get them if I can find them "gently used" with a HUGEEEE savings (the price tag is just beyond crazy) but wanted to hear who has what shoe brand and are they COMFORTABLE. I am wearing a mermaid silhouette dress so I dont want to be drastically uncomfortable.

Note: I realize that NO heels are comfortable per say but some pinch, run small, feel like they have no support, etc and just trying to avoid Smiley smile

Thanks in advance for sharing.

Okay, so I don't wear heels. I haven't in years because of joint problems (I'm sort of like a 29 year old, old lady). I can't even wear the typical ballet flats because they don't provide enough support and I end up in agonizing pain (ankles, knees, and hips!)

That being said, I want to wear heels on my wedding day so I've been doing my research. In the past few months I've purchased two pairs of heels that I can actually wear. The first are 3.5" peep toe Corso Como pumps (Del, I think). these have a lot of cushion. I have tested them thoroughly and am VERY satisfied. I plan on wearing them for various wedding related events (rehearsal dinner, etc.).

For my wedding shoe, I got a pair of Cole Haan pumps. They have Nike Air technology in the soles to help make walking in them more comfortable. I've only worn these walking around the house, so I haven't tested them as much as the Corso Como ones. They are comfortable and I think they will work for the wedding, but I actually think...

(continued) that the I like the Corso Como ones better (for feel and comfort). I think either are great options though. And both come up frequently on sites like RueLaLa and Gilt (I got my corso como ones on one of those sites). Cole Haan also has outlet stores (that is where I got mine). Good luck.

Cole Haan are more expensive (but not as expensive as Jimmy Choo!), but Corso Como shoes tend to be more reasonable (in the ~$150 range). You can definitely get corso como pumps for $60-$80 on those other websites and through sales though.

I'm no help in this category...I'm only like 4 inches shorter than FH (that's if he's standing up straight) and I'm 5'8...and my dress wasn't made hollow to hem (they only make them in one length and then you get them altered as needed), and my dress is the PERFECT length..and we're getting married outside, and I'm not a heels girl. So I'm wearing these =]

But they will be super comfy Smiley smile

@Married: Those Jimmy Choo Sandals do look comfortable. Thanks for giving me the heads up that the ones I had my eyes on were NOT!!! Thats valuable to know Smiley smile

@Mairaia: Hopefully I am NEXT on conquering the "shoe mission" Smiley smile

@busybride: Thanks for those recommendations as I want to be beautiful but not blistering that's for sure. I dont have joint pain but I do have a lot of back tension and I am sure wearing the "wrong" shoe doesnt help!!

@Rachel: I loveee those. Where did you find them? Smiley smile I am realllllyyyy short (5'0) thats why I keep thinking I need heels, but heck everyone knows I am a petite little thing so flats are surely a safe and comfy way to go...my ceremony is outside too :o)

MUST they be heels? If you're looking for comfortable, you could always wear flats. The shoes I wore were teeny heels, like a half-inch or so, barely any heel at all, and they were comfy enough to forget about all day long (they didn't draw attention to themselves by hurting, etc.).

Also, ordering online isn't necessarily horrible -- I had to get mine online, and I found that both Shoes.com and Zappos had good return policies, so even though I had to order and send back a few pairs to find a good fit, it was pretty much hassle-free.

I love the shoes!!!!! These look as they would be more comfortable than a closed toe. Stunning.....but all shoes will hurt after wearing them several hours. Just don't take them off because you will never get them back on your feet! If they hurt your feet immediately you will know those are not the shoes to wear..you don't want to be in agony on your wedding day!

Forever (a) young, thanks for providing an additional site...between zappos and shoes.com I should have many more options without the "leg work" of going to stores. they dont have to be heels, but I have a mermaid dress and I am short so I need to go try on my dress again to make sure I dont look "stumpy" without the heels, lol...I dont "remember" looking that way but it was always understood that I was going to wear some fierce heels until I start thinking about the practicality of it.

Anne S: I dont even own converse sneakers so that would surprise everyone. LOL. I do think they are so adorable so maybe now is my time to go purchase a PURPLE pair Smiley winking

Luckycollection: Girl, your wedding was BEAUTIFUL from what I can tell in your profile pic. You are absolutely right about the pain factor...if it hurts immediately it's not the one. What kind of shoes did you choose?

I have heard great things about these: http://www.chromaticgallerie.com

I have yet to wear the silver pair I bought, but they came with arch padding and everything! They come in all different colors and you can specify the exact heel height you want Smiley smile

I wore 2 -1/2" heels by Nina. They were super comfy and added a great pop of color to my pink and white wedding. I bought them online and they were under $100.

Also I think you are wanting what are called Sole Mates. I purchased them since my wedding was outdoors and they worked very well!

Lindsay E: I somehow did not reply to your suggestion, but those are cute. If not for wedding I just want them in my life in general. So many colors Smiley smile

LInda: ALL PARTS of your suggestion= perfect. I have seen some cute Nina shoes but was not familiar with their line so thanks for sharing your review. Even though I am short, I think low heels are the way to go for comfort and "safety" being outside and all Smiley smile The price is right and I am digging the idea of having a pop of color. I will have to search for the "soul mates"
