Which stores do you recommend for Mother of the bride dresses????

Mother of the bride dresses don't need to be expensive depending on the type of wedding. jc penny, boscovs both stores have a formal wear department

Any store really - Banana Republic, JC Penney, Macy's, Dillard's.

Honestly, David's bridal would probably have less expensive dresses than the nice ones you can find at Nordstrom and Macy's. I would check out Loehman's, Nordstrom Rack, Carson's, and Off Saks.

We have a store in the Midwest called Deb - it is like prom-bomb central right now but there are some goodies in there if you look. The good thing about Deb is they make the same dresses in a size 4-24 I think and they are CHEAP. Cheap enough that if you found something doable, you could take it to a tailor and have different sleeves put on, have it hemmed, etc.

I went with my Aunt today to get her dress for my cousins wedding in June. She bought it at Nordstrom, and they had a wide range of dresses for "mother of the _____".

My mom bought hers at Lord & Taylor, FHs mom bought hers at Ross. Any department store, anywhere like Marshalls/TJ Maxx, smaller stores like Talbot's, White House/Black Market, Ann Taylor, Coldwater Creek might be good too.
