I'm bored. Every few days there will be a post here about dry weddings and people jump on to exclaim that they HAVE to have something alcoholic, it's rude, blah blah-but no one ever asks about their stupid hay bale seating plan. Hay bales are not comfortable. They are especially horrid if you have ANY guests with any mobility or chronic pain issues. Making people stand around while you have a 20-30 minute ceremony on a beach or in the woods is unfair too.

So if you went to a wedding, would you be more ticked off if there weren't any actual seats or if all of the drinks were non-alcoholic?

Hay bales for sure. I would be bummed about a dry wedding. But if I so much as go within a few feet of a hay bale I get hives. Sitting on one for a ceremony? My throat would close up. :/

@cierra, we are doing the same, and we have a chair for every guest who needs one. We are also serving plenty of booze.

BTW there is a difference between straw and hay, and by using these bales for FREE has allowed us to provide better food/drink.
