Which Cake Flavors Are You Having?

Cake flavors vary depending on what your baker offers. Some only work with traditional flavors, while other offer unique ones!

Nowadays people are using so many different flavors, so I def. can't list them all lol. But I've seen a couple do carrot cake before! Our baker does vanilla, chocolate, orange matcha tea, coffee, strawberry. Red velvet, lemon cake....and you can also have different combinations of flavors when you add in the filling and icing.

We had two flavors— cookies and cream and apple cider for our fall wedding. They were different than the typical cake flavors but not so different that people were leary!

We’re doing pink champagne with strawberries and cream upon our bakery’s recommendation when we asked about refreshing and fun flavors.

We had a marble cake with oreo and cookies&cream icing in the middle. Brother-in-law loved it so much that he and his wife used the same thing for his wedding!

We are doing apple cake with maple frosting and chocolate stout cake with strawberry frosting.

I had an almond cake with cream cheese frosting. It was DELICIOUS (became my favorite cake … and I don’t even LIKE almonds. Lol!!)

We had three tiers. we did the first two as strawberry and the last one as mango for the fillings. the cake itself was just a basic vanilla sponge cake

Our cake is three tiers with 3 different flavors.
Bottom tier: snickerdoodle cake with cinnamon buttercream, Middle tier: lemon cake with strawberry filling and buttercream, Top tier: pink champagne cake with strawberry buttercream

We did two tiers of lemon cake with pineapple curd filling and one layer of vanilla cake with raspberry filling

I CANNOT WAIT until our cake tasting lol. I’m doing vanilla, and raspberry..maybe one more. The bakery is awesome 😆🎂🎂!

Our cake was a vanilla cake with different fillings. I don't know why but somehow that's what I always had in mind for a wedding cake and got at most weddings I've been to. So when my friend who made the cake asked me what flavor I wanted I was confused. Lol. So we stuck with vanilla.

Every tier had a different filling. We did Pina Colada, passionfruit-blackberry and cappuccino. I loved it. It was so yummy. And guests loved it, too.

It depends on the company you go with. Not all offer the same flavors, especially if you want something out of the norm. For our multi-tiered cake, we're looking into:

Luscious Lemon - Light lemon cake layered with a thin layer of vanilla buttercream and a light spread of raspberry jam

Marble - With either chocolate or oreo cookie

Red velvet - With white chocolate

Vanilla - With strawberry

We have 3 different layers-top one carrot cake with cream cheese filling, middle vanilla with raspberry filling, and bottom chocolate cake with cherry filling. White buttercream frosting on all.

We’re doing all red velvet with buttercream and cream cheese frosting!

I really wanted something fancy like earl grey tea cake with elderflower creme or a hummingbird cake since I love carrot cake and my fiance loves pineapples, so it seemed like a nice mix of both of our loves, but we couldn't get anything exciting like that.

In the end decided on getting one layer of banana cake with cream cheese frosting, and one layer of white cake with strawberry since they were the best two cakes our cake lady offered.

We tried a few places before going with her and she made by far the nicest cakes.

Two flavors on our three tier cake- bottom tier is pumpkin spice with cinnamon cream cheese, top two are dark chocolate with peanut butter filling. The whole cake will be covered in vanilla buttercream. The sizes of the tiers should mean we have about a 50/50 split between the two flavors.
