Where you you go for wedding dress inspiration?

MH, on October 3, 2019 at 12:53 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

There are so many dresses on google and pinterest and it's very overwhelming. Are there a few sources that you recommend for me to narrow down my searches?

I used Davids Bridal to narrow down the style I liked. They have like a dress quiz.

I didn’t look at any inspiration before I went to my appointment. I think it’s better to go in with an open mind and try on different silhouettes. It’s hard to know what will look best on your body because dresses look so different on a model!

I went to a bridal expo and saw a dress on someone that I really liked. I went shopping at a different store and tried on a similar dress to what I saw; I didn't like it but the shape was right so we went from there.

I agree with this. Also, if you get your heart set on a dress you see online, what if you can't actually find it in stores local to you? Far better to try on real dresses that you know you can purchase.

I already had several dress styles in mind from my favorite royals like Kate Middleton and Princess Eugenie!

I planned to go to David's Bridal and just browsed through all of the dresses they had online. I wrote down 5-7 style numbers a week or two before my appointment, but didn't obsess too much about whether I tried on those specific styles. But I actually ended up getting one of the dresses I'd written down Smiley smile

I got into dresses for inspiration. This is something that’s best *felt* versus browsed online. Try on dresses and feel out what works for you and what doesn’t. You don’t have to know exactly what you’re looking for to go into a bridal salon! Even when I knew essentially what I was looking for, I tried on dresses and 10 of the same style felt completely different on! They all checked the boxes I thought I loved but once I was in them there was something new I’d like or dislike, and I really didn’t know til I was in them Smiley smile

I first pulled up a few bridal shops that were in my area that had good reviews, then I looked at which designers they all carried and went from there.
