Where does your wedding hashtag go?

Kari, on February 3, 2020 at 2:16 PM Posted in Planning 2 6

As much as I think wedding hashtags can be super gimmicky, they are a really good way to organize social media posts from your guests and vendors, so we came up with one for our wedding. Where is the best place to put your wedding hashtag so people know what it is, especially if you aren't super into the hashtag thing? We obviously want people to use it but don't want huge signs and don't want it plastered all over our venue and paper products - we want people to know it and use it but not have it as an obvious part of our decor.

A good spot would be on a sign or somewhere on the table when they come in and get their table number and nametag. Or maybe on the guest book if you have one

We had a sign near our bar so most of our guests saw it.

I’ll probably have a sign at the wedding that says it, I included it on our wedding website, and I’ll probably put it on our invitation somewhere as an information thing. I mean probably like half of our guests might use it at some point

I didn't have one but a recent wedding I went to at the sign in table had a small sign with that hashtag info

I got a smaller sign similar to this one. We will be placing it on a small easel by our gift/card table. They come in different sizes if you don't want it to be huge.

Thanks so much for the advice! I didn't want it super obvious but was thinking the table where we put escort cards might work. We aren't having a registry so I think we will just have a little gift box for cards on the same table, or perhaps with a guest book, so a sign there makes sense. I thought about putting it on our menu, on the place cards themselves, or on the invite but I don't want it in all of our photos of those details, so may just stick with a couple small signs that are visible. I know the website will be a good place too, I just need to figure out where it makes the most sense to put it there.
