Where did you meet your future spouse?

I broke the rule and met him at my current place of employment at the time.

We met at a friend's party almost 5 years ago!

We met in high school in the 10th grade

We met online, but we actually went to elementary, middle, and high school together. I knew of him, but we didn’t actually know each other (he was two years older, different circles)

We met through a App where you chat with people. Then we talked for a few weeks and then we met at his sisters 15th birthday party and after that we went to the movies. Now it’s 5 and half years later ❤️

We met online and later that day met up at a sports bar for a drink and app. Then we hit it off so well we decided to go bowling. It was a great day!

College! It was fate

We met in college. We had the same major, so we had similar classes and a lot friends in common.

We met at work. I was on my 2nd day working for the TSA and Denver International Airport, and I got stranded there because of a massive blizzard that blew through closing the road out of the airport. The next day, I tried to go home (my shift didn’t start until 1 pm) and my car was encased in 1/2” of Ice. I went back into the checkpoint and asked if there was any way I could start early (8 am), since my trainer hadn’t made it in anyway. The supervisors agreed, and started thinking about what trainer to pair me with. One of the supervisors was friends with my now fiancé, and his trainee at the time happened to be down testing for his certification, so his friend decided to play matchmaker. He brought me over and pulled the whole “haaaaaave you met Shawn?”. We chatted the whole shift about ourselves (he’d just gotten Divorced from his high school sweetheart who stabbed him with a screwdriver). And he offered his friendship. I was new to Denver so I appreciated that.

a week later I changed checkpoints and didn’t see him for about 2 months. After I was certified I moved back to the checkout he was on and our shifts overlapped by a few hours and I went up to him and said hi and asked if he was still offering that friendship. I was in a relationship with another guy who was a real piece of work, and I wasn’t particularly happy.

we decided to hang out and we went downtown to get some food. My boyfriend at the time got really upset at me about it, and I broke up with him. I went to Boulder with Shawn the next day and it’s been us ever since

Kahului, Maui, Hawaii. We were on vacation and staying at the same place. We became an item on January 1, 2012 and the rest is history! He proposed on our anniversary and we're getting married this September!

I met him at a soccer game, though he doesn’t remember! We ended up hanging around the same places a lot before we became friends and later dated. I was with a friend that day, who I no longer talk to. But he was with two friends, one was the best man in our wedding. The other he lost touch with for a while but is now very close with again. A few months ago both of the friends were at our house and i told them the story how I met the three of them together. They were amused and none remembered clearly. That was 11 or 12 years ago!
