Where did you get your bridesmaid dresses?

Private User, on April 13, 2015 at 7:07 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 38

Lately I've been in the mood to start looking for bridesmaid dresses (Even though I haven't even asked anyone to be a bridesmaid yet.....) Where did yall get your girls BM dresses or where do you suggest looking? I'm not a fan of the traditional plain dresses in case that helps any suggestions.

I did David's Bridal because I love the many different color options! I'm going the same dress in different color route. If you want something a little quirky, I might try ModCloth.

My bridesmaids got theirs from JCrew. I love the whole JCrew bridesmaids line. The quality is great, real silk not cheap polyester. They are a little expensive, but have really good sales all the time. My bridesmaids saved over $100 off full price.

We used David's Bridal. We got a floor length Vera Wang dress for the girls.

I plan on doing this dress from Azazie: http://www.azazie.com/products/azazie-grace-bridesmaid-dress?color=azalea in Pool Blue and Lime Green, alternating. They have so many cute color choices and 3 of my bridesmaids already said (without any prompting from me!) that they feel like they can actually wear the dress again. I was also able to order fabric samples ($2 each) to make sure I liked the fabric/color in person before making a decision.

We went to David's bridal last weekend. What a gong show that place was! We were given 1 change room for all 4 of my girls to share (which is no biggie) but mid way through, they asked us to move rooms because someone else wanted the change room we were using (that they originally assigned to me). One of my bm's and I said , at the exact same time "Nobody puts Bebe in the corner!" Hahaha! Cracked us up! Anyways, the attendant was the most horrid I've ever seen. Crabby little thing! She was annoyed my girls tried so many styles. The dresses were ok and were a great price but nothing spoke to us. So we hit a bunch of local bridal shops. We found one accidentally enroute to a different one, popped in to peek, and shortly after, found the cutest little black dress with a corset back! It was definitely not the price I wanted my bm's to pay but every one of them, in varying heights and sizes, swooned and wanted it! They all say they will wear the dress again so it's worth going over budget for! For us, what was most important was that the dress flatter everyone wearing it. Mission accomplished! Smiley smile

We went to a local bridal shop called Bride Beautiful. I went with the two local bridesmaids and they picked a dress with my light guidance. The dresses were black so it made it pretty easy. I sent out an email with all the dress ordering info to the other girls.

Going against the grain, I went with infinity dresses from a seller on Etsy; StraathofDesign.

Not my girls, but the length and color:

I am thinking we might end up getting them at Alfred Angelo, they have the closest colors to my wedding colors.

David's bridal. Honestly just the easiest. They are all over the country, they have layaway, financing so it's easier to purchase there. I looked at other stores but DB was the easiest

Www.weddingtonway.com - I picked the color and fabric and each girl picked the style they liked out of the ones I added to the showroom.
