Since my fiancé will be on-call the Monday after our wedding, we aren’t taking our official honeymoon until our one year anniversary. So we decided to take a mini moon the week BEFORE our wedding. We will be going to Salem for Halloween!! 🖤🍁🎃 It’s not really my FH’s thing, but he knows I am obsessed with Fall and Halloween and Hocus Pocus is one of my all time favorite movies (it is on our TV multiple times a week throughout September and October) and Ive wanted to go to Salem for Halloween for sooooo long!! He is such a good sport LOL Plus, I reminded him it was wise to take me there right before the wedding because I wouldn’t be able to drop the amount of money I normally would otherwise! 😂😂

But after having to postpone and feeling pretty down about it, I figured I may as well take advantage of the situation! FH really couldn’t say no when he saw how excited I was about something again! Oh that B&B looks super cute and relaxing! Next time I travel up the coast, I'll keep that place in mind! FH and I were planning on going to Scotland in May next year, but because of COVID that's on hold right now. I did want to still do something though, so I was thinking of camping since it's cheap, and both FH and I have never done that together. 😅

That's super pretty. Glad you guys will be having a bit of time together. We're going to St. Lucia through Sandals Resorts.

We honeymooned in January, and this is one of my favorite photos, because I am, really, just a 5 year old in a grown-up suit.

We'd been there about 30 minutes, saw we could meet TIGGER (and Pooh, he might actually have been the headliner, there), and, well, DH's first thing he ever bought for me was a stuffed Tigger... so... um.

I *assure* you, I'm over 30. I swear.

If you think DH and I don't sometimes look at each other and go, "HOLY COW WE DODGED A BULLET" ...

Our travel agent/DH's friend (being our travel agent and getting us a discount was his extraordinarily generous gift to us) had actually floated the idea of us going this fall. We quashed the idea because I had hoped to be pregnant. (Well. I was. For a little while.)

OF COURSE we went during the coldest week FL had seen in *decades*! But it was still at least 20F warmer than home, at the coldest, so... we didn't care.

I remember starting to see headlines about a new virus in China while we there, and thinking to myself, "You are currently in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Uh-oh." (...We LIVE in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, but brains don't make sense.)

TL; DR: yes, absolutely, partly luck, partly because that's a "slow" time for Disney.

We're (fingers crossed the world is normal enough by then) going to sardinia! it'll be our first international trip as a couple (except for a senior trip through our church t costa rica) and i'm beyond excited!!!!
