When should you have a rehearsal dinner for a Friday night wedding?

Our wedding is on a Friday night and we have some people in the wedding party that are coming from out of town. We don't want to have the rehearsal without everyone there so we can't do it the weekend before. Do you think it would be ok to have it the night before even though it's a Thursday?

Thursday night. Its just dinner I think everyone will be ok with that.

Thursday night is fine. It also doesn't have to be mandatory. We're just having a dinner, no rehearsing.

I would think Thursday would be best. People only have to make the trip once.

We are having a Friday wedding as well and are planning on Thursday rehearsal and dinner. I think that's fine. The people in your wedding party should be aware the rehearsal/dinner take place the day before and plan accordingly but if someone can't make it by Thursday, it's not the end of the world!

Our venue only allows for Thursday evening rehearsals (they have weddings at the venue on Fridays). Our rehearsal is Thursday at 6:15 and is followed by a dinner.

We're having our walk-through of the ceremony on Wednesday evening (our venue isn't available on thursday) - it's not 100% mandatory. As long as one half of the pair that is walking down the aisle together is there for that i'm completely okay with it.

We're making a day out of our rehearsal festivities for Thursday since everyone has taken off of work. My future in-laws live on a lake so the guys are going to go out golfing in the AM and then we're all going to spend the day louging around catching a little extra sun and just relaxing out on the water and enjoying ourselves (with LOTS of sunscreen!).

Thursday is fine. Do the walk through on the Friday; make Thursday just a social night.

We are doing the rehearsal and dinner on Thursday. Dinner will be at 7pm.

We are having ours on a thursday night even though our wedding is on saturday. Our venue has events on friday evening so thursday will be good for us. Some of the groomsmen will miss it but it will be okay.

We are having a Sunday wedding and the rehearsal is going to be on the Thursday before. Our venue has events on the Friday and Saturday.

We are having our wedding on a Friday night too. Our rehearsal dinner will be Thursday night. All of our out of town bridal party members will be arriving byThursday afternoon
