When do you talk about song list with Dj?

My DJ sent me a packet that should be sent in a month prior.

Start making a list 6 months ahead of time. Share that list with you DJ about 2 months out from the actual date. Good luck!

That's our date as well! Our DJ had a google doc of what songs we wanted played when, and if we had specific songs/artists we liked that could be played at dinner/dancing. I also put together a Spotify playlist to give him an idea of what we are looking for before the ceremony, during dinner, and when people are dancing. We won't meet with him again until early September to go over any changes and to verify our "key moment" songs. You could reach out to see if they have anything for you to fill out, or if they want to meet prior to the wedding!

Our venue has an all inclusive package that we signed up for which included a list of DJ’s (booked 9/20 for our 4/3/21 wedding). The DJs reached out to us within a week of booking & we signed our contract with the DJ we liked. He sent us his paperwork that we could start working on (precessional/recessional song, our 1st dance, intro song, etc). We set up our final meeting with him 3 weeks before our wedding & he sent the final timeline a week later.
