When do you start to use a wedding hashtag?

So we just settled on our wedding hashtags (#LetsGetCarteredAway, #CraigAndSarah2019), but when do you start to use them, or how do we start to tell people? There's a bridal shower coming up in about three weeks and I'm sure people will be posting photos from that (my friends are basically all Facebook/Instagram addicts!) How do people usually spread the word about hashtags?

I just put it on social media that we came up with our wedding hashtag.

The only time I’ve ever seen a wedding hashtag used before the actual wedding is when the couple posts about the planning process and uses the hashtag themselves. Other than that, people don’t usually use it until the actual wedding.

We had a small sign at our engagement party for guests to use it. A decent amount of people actually posted. I wanted the same hashtag for all events so I could scroll through all the photos wedding related whenever I wanted to.

I plan to use ours when I post on social media, and have a sign displaying it at my bridal shower (just in case, people are always taking pictures these days!) and of course to display at the wedding. I can't really think of any other times you would use it except for wedding-related events.

The few times I post about wedding related things on social media I'll use the hashtag. I think my mom and sister plan on using it for shower things, and my sister is making a different one for the bachelorette party lol. Sometimes my mom randomly uses it on pictures of my FH and I even if it's not wedding related, but she just REALLY loves using them.
