When did you start really getting your RSVP's back

We are one week after you (42 days!) and we told people by April 22 we needed RSVPs. We have 265 guests and a response of 68 so far. So I guess we're very similar! Hopefully this next week they'll just start flowing in!

I've heard a lot of people get a ton in the days following the RSVP date. A lot of people seem to think "Kindly respond by..." means "please put the RSVP in the mail on this date".

Our RSVP Date is the 27th and we've gotten about 65 of 141 people invited. Of the people who haven't responded nearly all of them are on my FHs side. Including his immediate family. My FMIL was like "Oh look it says I have til April 27" SMH....just put it in the mailbox!!

I actually got mine pretty evenly spaced out. however, i think the week before they were due was the heaviest-i was getting about 10/12 each day.

I've set the RSVP date for the 15th as well. However, we're doing the RSVPS on line. Out of 86, I've have 36 people marked, but some just told me. I've been checking several times a day!

WOW. thanks for this question because I will be sending my Invitations out at the end of this month. I gave myself plenty of time for the RSVP because I felt that people would do exactly what you are saying.....wait till after the RSVP date before most of them will get in. Phew. I just pray people don't wait too late because I have to give my venue a final count and we have to make up the table cards and seating charts. I don't want to be doing this right up against the wedding. Ugh.

Thanks so much for the post! I had originally planned on putting my rsvp date as a month before the wedding which would be 6/10/2011 or either by the end of the first week of August to give people plenty of time

Sent mine out 3 weeks ago. Got half of them already! LOL! But most people already knew so they were sure about it.

I hope the majority of mine will be sure. I have a ways to go but my game plan was 6 or so weeks before the wedding I think I'll send them at 7 and move the rsvp up 1 week so I have that extra week and meet MY deadline. Thanks this help me alot.

Our wedding is 55 days away, and we sent out the invitations 8 days ago (we figured we'd send them out on the earlier end since we didn't really do much in the way of STDs). So far, we've already got 3 back....

Got 26 of the 62 response cards back (for around 120 guests total), sent them out mid-March. 40 days away. I've been told that the closer to that deadline that you get, the more replies will come in.

Remember there are couples that will send in only one response card, so, in actuality, you are half-way there!

We invited 185, and have heard back from 83. Some days I get 5 in the mail, some days none. Response date is 4/21

Almost all of our RSVP's came within a day or two of the final date. Of course, there were also the stragglers that you have to call and all that. I'd bet you will get most of them in the coming week!

Shannon, I have very similar numbers that you have as far as RSVPed and total sent out. I gave my guests till the 16th. They are responding online and I check several times a day just like Kiera! I have been asking my FMIL and my mom if they know for sure about people who haven't RSVPed

I plan on sending mine out on June 1st and RSVP date by August 15th I will start calling for the rest of the month to people who havent sent back a RSVP and tell them if they dont know for sure by X date then I will not have a seat for them.. i know its kind of blunt but i need final numbers a month in advance no excuses

I guess we aren't doing too bad... Our RSVP deadline is April 14 (Thursday). So far we've received responses from 100 out of 152 people. A few days after we mailed them, we got a decent about back from people that got it and immediately put the card back in the mail. Then it tapered off and now it seems to be vamping back up (we got a handful on Fri and Sat).

Sent ours out last Friday and got a good response back. I will just have to stick it out and wait til our deadline of April 30th to start making some "confirm or else" phone calls. :-)

Grr. Some people just irritate me. I mean it has a doggone stamp on it. Just check the dang box and put it back in your mailbox. How hard is it really? They could even go online and RSVP that was as well. JUST DO IT!! lol
