We were friends that grew into something more but we were both afraid to voice the love between us because we didn't want to ruin our friendship. After years we were honest about what was happening took a leap of faith. I'm marrying my best friend and it feels organic and comfortable.

Honestly I think I always knew. Even the short time we were just friends, I just knew. I knew before our first date and I knew after it. And I was right

I met him on line and text almost a week before meeting him. I thought if he was half of what he said, I’d fall. When he walked into restaurant where we were meeting, it was instant. He was that and more. I’ve been head over heels like a teenager since the beginning 4 years ago. Our first date was 24 hours. He fell asleep in my living room chair. Lol. I’m 60 and he’s 53. I can’t wait to marry him.

FH & I met on-line & after the 1st date he thought he'd never see me again. But we dated & I knew he was the one after he didn't think I was crazy for being upset that his car wasn't in the driveway when I drove by. I had previously been in a relationship where I was cheated on & FH was soooo kind with me & my insecurities!!! 😍😍😍😍

Aww I love long distance romances! Ours was actually long distance also, for almost 3 years. I knew VERY quickly that he was “the one”. I’ve said since I was a child that I was never getting married. But after the first date with my now fiancé, I called my best friend & said “I’m in trouble”. By the end of the second date I was smitten. By the end of the 3rd date I knew I was going to marry this dude. I think when you find the right one, you just know.

After 7 weeks of talking. He lives in AZ, and I'm currently in Ireland. We were chatting online, and I felt low suddenly. I didn't say anything at all, and he told me that he loved me. It wasn't the first time he'd said it either. It was that he sent it in that moment when it meant so much. I actually said out loud to myself "One day, I'm going to marry that man."

I didn't tell him about that personal statement until 4 months in, and he said it was fascinating.

I spent a lot of time thinking about him before we talked, and even tried to convince myself it was just a fantasy that would never work.

He has a power over me that I can't explain, and he can always calm me down when I'm anxious. I can't stay mad at him when we argue either, and that is unheard of for me, cos I'm good at grudges.

We met in high school because he was dating my best friend. She broke up with him, said he wasn’t for her but she thought we’d be perfect together. At that time I didn’t feel right about it so I did nothing. Fast forward 10 years and we were talking and he asked me out. I knew the instant I got into his truck that night that he was it. I just had that feeling. I’m still friends with my high school best friend and she constantly says, “I told you!”

We met online. I was very jaded at that point (lots of frogs you know? And I don't mean physically) recent divorceé, had to move because of a stalker, etc. He made me laugh and feel at ease. He actually called me on the phone (shocking for a millennial) and we spoke for hours.


Had an o.k. first date. Second date, first kiss. I knew.

Utterly and completely love at first sight. Even referenced it in my vows.

We had a meet-cute secretly facilitated by a dear friend (who just passed away, sadly).

It's been 7 1/2 years, and, yep, my eyes were right!
