When did you know your baker was the one?

This isn't very helpful lol but I knew when he asked me to marry him! lol my fiance is going to bake our cake! yay!

Our baker was one that has been in my Husbands family for yeaaars. He wanted an authentic Italian wedding cake and the bakery has been doing their wedding cakes, birthday cakes, event cakes -- since his great grandparents, pretty much. I couldn't eat the cake because I'm lactose intolerant, but I didn't let my guests go without delicious cake (as I've had it before and it's so good, but I became heavily lactose intolerant about 5-ish years ago).

I got little minicakes on the side that I was able to eat from a different place and everyone was happy! The cake was beautiful, too.

I had an all inclusive package but they still gave us 3 options to pick from, I just stalked them through Instagram and then went to the one I liked better. I decided to pick them once I came in and saw their amazing work and how she understood everything I wanted even though I was not even sure!

Our baker has incredible reviews and is less expensive than a lot of bakeries in the area (as she is just a one woman show). She was so sweet and very responsive with all my questions. When we went for our cake tasting, we knew she was the one based on the flavor of her cakes! They're amazing! Also, her cakes are beautiful so I knew she'd be able to execute our wedding cake and groom's cake designs!

We knew during our tasting. She was so nice & we vibed with her immediately. At our tasting, everything was so delicious, it made it hard to choose our cake & dessert flavors. We had another tasting scheduled with a different baker a few days after that one and cancelled because we knew she was the one.

1. Her cake tasted great and designs were beautiful. 2. Good price. 3. She loved my customized cake topper whereas the others gave me a look about it.

Our wedding colors are red and gold and our cake will be white with one gold layer and red roses. Her immediate unfiltered reaction to our topper was oh I love it it’s perfect and unique and the other bakers’ immediate unfiltered reaction was ohhhh....hmm ok. I knew she got me. Another bonus she’s letting us borrow the cake stands for no extra fee as long as we return them after.

View Quoted Comment We went with cinnamon brown sugar, with cinnamon buttercream frosting (it was to die for!), for our bottom tier and fresh strawberry with, vanilla butter cream, for our top tier. Then for our dessert bar, she made us Oreo shooters, banana pudding shooters, and mini cheesecakes. We also had chocolate chip cookies and a variety of donuts!

I'm baking my own cupcakes for our wedding (not doing a cake) so I guess when I decided to do it xD

Our baker is from our vendor list and she’s worked with our venue multiple times she has a great reviews we went in person to schedule a tasting and they made us feel SO warm and welcomed she really tailored the tasting around what we liked and was really invested in working with us not trying to make a sale
