When did you have your guests list finalized?

My fiance and I are about a little over a year out from our wedding. We made up an estimated guest list right after we got engaged. We came up with about 130 people. We found a venue we love that only holds 110 people. Every time I see my mother she asks if our guest list is finalized. I keep saying no that is something we are not worried about right now. We know that most of the people we are cutting are coworkers so we really are not worried. She keeps telling me that I need to get this done right now. How can I tell her to lay off a bit? Also I have an uncle that is married to a woman who has two adult daughters who both have kids. Total of 7 people. I've only met her daughters 3 times and I do not like them. I don't want to invite them. She says that my uncle won't care and he will bring them anyway. How do I tell him no?

You don't need to have your guest list finalized until you are ready to send out save the dates!

We're about a week out from sending invitations and still haven't quite finalized it. Our venue can hold 300 so we haven't really had that limitation to think about (unfortunately...).

We already have our guest list finalized, but it was easy for us as already knew who we wanted to invite for the most part. I would say please stop asking, I will let you know once it's done. As for the Uncle on the invitation be sure to address it to exactly who you want there. On the rsvp you could put something like: we have reserved '4' seats in your honor...

Thank you! Good idea! I told her also that we would have it finalized before we send out save the dates and that wasn't a good enough answer. From here on out I'll just ignore her when she asks it over and over.
