When did you get engagement photos back?

Hey all. Just wondering how long it took for your photographer to send you your engagement photos back? Our contract doesn't say for engagement photos, but he told us a week after the shoot. Then we messaged him when it had been about 2 weeks, and he said one more week. And now its been a month. I don't want to nag him but I am just frustrated; we haven't even got a sneak peek! Makes me think he hasn't even looked at them yet. Huge red flag to me, but FH doesn't care.

Any tips?

ETA: I know it is busy wedding season and I wouldn't be upset if he just told us right from the start 6 weeks or something. Just frustrated that he keeps giving us a timeline and then not fulfilling it

Mine took a couple of weeks. Not long at all.

Have you already paid him? If so I would give him a deadline, and if he does not comply you might have to take him to small claims.

It is the same photographer we are using for our wedding. So he have paid 50% of the costs. This is why it is a huge red flag to me as I don't want someone like this doing our wedding, but FH still wants him. We don't want to give him a deadline and end up with shitty photos or a grumpy photographer at our wedding. Do you think small claims could do anything if his contract doesn't have a set date?

Our photographer told us a week and I think it ended up being 6 or 7 so frustrating it felt like an eternity! The wait will be worth it hang in there girl!

I would reach out to him again. Going through small claims court will make him grumpier or give even shittier photos. Call him

I expected ours to take a bit longer - around 1-2 months. Ended up taking 2 months, but he kept me informed when I reached out and he was busier because it was during peak wedding months.

Our photographer told us 3-4 weeks when we did our engagement pictures. She then posted on Facebook her turnaround time was 4-6 weeks for any shoots she had done. We got all of our pictures after about 4 and a half weeks, but we also got a sneak peek of about 7 the day after our shoot. It is busy wedding season, but it couldn't hurt to just send a friendly note asking when the pics will be ready because you are so excited to see them!

We got ours two weeks after. But, our photographer sent a few the same night.

I got mine back pretty quickly, within a week of our shoot. I suppose it depends on the photographer having a bunch of shoots they have to edit and such. Just ask!
