We got engaged December 23rd at my family Christmas!!! He incorporated my family in the proposal which made it so special.

He had our friends arrange a girls' day with me. We had lunch and drinks then went back to a friend's house and played board games. She was telling me how her neighbours keep complaining about them playing music too loudly. Then she said "Screw it, play it louder!"

A little while later, someone was banging at the door. Her husband goes to answer it and says "It's the police!"

I'm freaking out. I don't want to get in trouble and not be allowed back into Canada and in those few short moments I went from happy to terrified! I then hear a voice shout, "Everyone in the living room, now!"

I turn the corner and see FH dressed as a police officer, I think nothing of it though...because it's him and sometimes he does weird stuff. I say, "Oh, it's just you". He yells at me to sit down.

"Tainted Love" starts playing on the radio. I'm thinking, "Yes! I love this song! Wait, what's going on?" He starts dancing and doing a striptease while feeding me Canadian chocolates, pouring maple syrup over himself, and occasionally petting La Bradford (the cat) who was very curious.

Even at the end of the striptease, when he was on one knee with a ring, I had no clue what was going on. Then he asked me, and of course I said yes. (After taking the kitkat out of my mouth)

I have never been more surprised in my life!

He proposed on Canada Day (July 1st) - He's Canadian and I'm American.

We got engaged Decemeber 22nd, 2018! After being together for 4 years, being highschool sweethearts, and him having the ring for over a year, he finally popped the question! We were actually arguing that day, (I thought he was being sneaky, turns out he was planning the proposal). We were at his parents house and he said he wanted to take a walk so we could talk through the argument. I was angry because it was cold outside but we went anyone. There's a cute little park by his house and he led me through it. I saw the candles and pictures hanging and instantly knew what was going on. We both shared lots of tears that day. To be honest, I was so wrapped up in everything that I don't even remember what he said.

How We Got Engaged

Got engaged this past December on my birthday 😊 ✨✨✨

My boyfriend of 6 years proposed to me on November 25, 2018 ❤️ It was a magical moment in the privacy of our home, followed by an engagement shoot photographed by my best friend/future maid of honor! Together we own two perfect hound dogs and both are currently working towards a bachelors and masters degree. Can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!

My fiancé proposed to me on my birthday last year. The night before he wouldn't shut up about how badly he wanted my birthday to be the best one I've ever had.
Recently, I started hating my birthday and had a quarter of a life century criss, the year before. So I wasn't looking forward to this one.
The night before he gave me flowers and I put them in water. Next morning, as I was getting ready for church, he asked me if I was ready for my card. I was so confused cause we were going to be late if we didn't hurry.
I told him sure, as I walked out of the bathroom from doing my hair, and now he had the flowers, from the night before, in his hand. My first thought was "Wtf are you doing. Those are dripping everywhere.."
He then began talking about how much we've been through and that he couldn't imagine life with out me.. I'm over here just kinda listening cause I'm still confused about the dripping flowers.. He then gets on one knee and pulled out my late grandmother's ring. Now THAT'S when it hit me and I started crying.
Everything else about that day is a blur and I sometimes forget it was my birthday because it had been waiting for him so long. Definitely BEST. BIRTHDAY. EVER.

We got engaged December 24th, 2014 and well it wasn’t smooth but we got married in June and that was everything we dreamed of

We got engaged in December 7, 2018! I was working late and had a Christmas parade to attend that he decided to not go to. He wrote down the 10 things he loves about me the most and when I walked inside, he was on one knee.
