What's your plus one policy?

How did you decide who gets the option of bringing an additional guest? Are you giving all of your guests the plus one option, or are you limiting plus ones to just your wedding party or out-of-town guests?? What's your plus one policy? Photo from Laura Hooper Calligraphy in Alexandria, VA

We have a guest restriction at our venue so its strictly who is named on the invitation. Theres no plus ones. I also dont want my sisters boyfriend there so theres that.

We are mostly just inviting family with a few friends, most of whom are in relationships so their SO are of course invited. We have a little wiggle room if any of our single friends start dating someone between now and invitations going out, and since it’s only around 8 people I don’t mind giving them all a plus one.

Since we are planning to only have 75 attendees at our wedding, I think we are narrowing our plus ones to "couples only". Most of the people we are inviting are, too, either engaged/married or in relationships already. I don't know many people who are coming to the wedding to be single. Except for my two best friends. Who, if I am lucky, will fall hopelessly in love and possibly just date each other. It'll be like a Hallmark movie come-true at my wedding. A girl could dream, right?😂🌠

We're going to extend a plus one to anyone who is married or in a relationship. I'll also probably include a line on the invitation saying plus one's are available per request, but need to be confirmed by me or FH. We're only doing this because it's going to be a very intimate wedding with only 30-50 people.
