What's the most expensive item on your registry?

Hi all ! As I'm casually adding to our registry, I realized I REALLY want a luggage set. I have the same suitcase I had since college and the handle is broken. Hi all !

As I'm casually adding to our registry, I realized I REALLY want a luggage set. I have the same suitcase I had since college and the handle is broken. The wheels on my carry one are falling apart. There are stains. Etc. Needless to say, I fell in love with a Samsonite set on BBB.... only problem is that it's about $470. Is that ridiculous to add?

Also, for luggage sets do you share that with your husband, or do you each get your own set?

Thanks in advance!!

A Dyson vacuum that's about $400....and we got it! Some people went in together on it!

We were spoiled though and lived with a couple for awhile that had one so we knew we had to have one ourselves.

We have a few expensive gifts on there...

    $200 YETI cooler

    $250 dog ball launcher (lol)

    $250 dollar vacuum

    $175-ish pot and pan set

but I made sure I had lots of stuff under $50 on there too.

I think our most expensive item is a sound bar for our television, which is probably right around $300. I think it's totally fine to put some big ticket items on there, as long as you also make sure that you have plenty of $25-$75 items as well. People always have the option of splurging but they're not being forced to (if they want to buy something off the registry, that is).

Yep I have the kitchen aid mixer also. But the ninja blender is about $150 I think and the coffee bar might be like $175.

    Plus calphalon pots and pans.

    A steamer

I'll probably add a duvet and cover that will also be pricey. :/

Programmable thermostat and a new cookware set - I did register for luggage but I broke the three pieces up separately so the most expensive one was $150

We put a couple of kitchen aid attachments that were each about $200. My friends like doing group gifts so I think its likely a few people will go in on gifts like that together. I also figure if no one buys it we get a discount on buying it ourselves at the end. As long as you have an array of prices on your registry its really not a big deal.

I looove my hardtop luggage. Even my good quality/brand cloth ones ended up ripping after like a year. Usually if we have a set of 3 I use the bigger one, FH uses the medium size, and we either share the carry-on or one of us brings a "weekender" type bag in addition.

I think 470 for a luggage set is alot. Mine that I bought was 200. DH and I are sharing it for our honeymoon. I seen a Dyson vaccum on a baby registry that was purchased for a couple that just had their wedding 9 months ago.

A $1000 ride on hippo. Of course I'm not expecting anyone to buy it. I didn't even want to register but felt pressured by my mom and jokingly told her the only thing I wanted was a ride on hippo to roll down the isle on. So I registered for it because I'm a brat!

I would be crazy excited if I actually get it though!

We bought luggage separates from Macy's during a big sale - Regular price for all 3 pieces was almost $700, and we only paid $250! We were actually looking at luggage for our registry, but decided to buy it ourselves in order to take advantage of the sale going on. If you are going to invest in good luggage, I suggest the hardshell ones. They are a lot more durable and I think they are more roomy as well.

Our knife set is about $700. The sales lady at crate and barrel suggested we register for the set as well as individual knives, so that's what we did. Almost everything else is $100 or less with most things being under $40.

    I'm sorry I had a screeching halt in my brain. @ 2yearsaway.

You said you asked for a HIPPO ride? How do you register for that? If you're serious.... I'm apologizing in advance.

I'm a zoo keeper. I'm ****% against using wild animals like this.

Also, hippos are INCREDIBLY dangerous. This might be one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard of and I truly hope there's not a way to do this.

Just walk down the aisle like a normal person. And if you really want an animal... use a horse, that is used to being ridden.

    Sorry y'all.

    Thanks to everyone else !
