What does your DIY To-Do list look like? What have you done so far? What are you thinking about scraping and/or adding? I know we have some fantastic DIYers on this site so don't be afraid to spam this thread with pictures of your creations! (Inspiration photos are also accepted.)

My hubby CRUSHED it. He wins. Smiley xd

He made these from scratch (chest, ship mast, and constructed fireflies for the swamp area & decorated that whole area):

You are making excellent progress so far. Are you getting the flannels professionally monogrammed or are you doing it by hand (!!)/machine?

It's almost as if you knew I have a soft spot for book bouquets. Which book out of the series do you plan on using?

I may be crazy but I loved the superstition post about the Irish ringing bells to ward off evil spirits. I'm thinking about throwing something together over the weekend so that guests could ring bells as we walk out after the ceremony. I could totally do that in 9 days lol.

Thanks! I do a bit every weekend so, that it will hopefully all get done and I won't be rushed at the end. I love crafts/DIY so if I wasn't working on wedding stuff I'd be spending this time on other projects anyway. Once this is all done I have a bunch of minis to paint (FH and I are hobby boardgamers).

I'm planning to purchase the flannels and then add the monograms myself. I have a Cricut and will print them out on iron on vinyl and then attach them to the shirts.

I must have missed that post because I have never heard of that before. I really like that idea.

And I'm sure you can work something out in t-minus 9 days. Lol!

I figured I've been completely DIY-ing my daughter's birthday parties for going on 7 years so I might as well do it for the wedding too! Fortunately I have over a year for everything for the wedding so I feel pretty good about it. Also super grateful that her birthday is in June and she's picked a Grinch theme so all of the DIY needed for that gives me a nice break from the wedding Smiley smile

The hardest part has been finding teapots that won't break if dropped!

Same here! I'm always working on something, wedding related or not. I also used to paint minis with my ex boyfriend when he somehow roped me into diving into the deep end of Warhammer 40k. (Pretty glad that part of my life is over but I do miss painting minis from time to time.)

How many shirts do you have to do?

We are getting married July 2019. I've started collecting decor (candles, signs, etc.) but have to make around 5 signs, print & assemble our invites & Save The Dates, print programs, and assemble guest bags for hotel guests. I'm a little nervous, but think we will do a lot this Summer so we are basically ready with decor a year in advance. I have several totes full of wedding stuff already!

2 mini water bottles, two different bags of snacks (his favorite & my favorite), a personalized do not disturb sign for the hotel room door, a liquor shooter, and a little paper with information on things to do nearby!

Oh gosh, we have so many. My fiance is currently working on the archway, the card box, the welcome sign, and a few other signs.

    I'm making centrepieces.

Thank you! We went for authentic pirate as best we could: wood tables, gold glass chargers, nice linens. So fun. We changed into our DIY outfits (thanks eBay and Amazon!) for reception.
