diy Video Booth Guestbook

Wow this sounds like a great idea!

It seems like a fun idea but a lot could go wrong. What if someone steals the ipad? What happens the app freezes up or decides not to work that day? Do you have a DOC that could keep an eye on it? How are you going to test it before the wedding, noise and lighting wise?

I think it could work out as long as you have someone tech savvy assigned to assist/keep an eye on things because many people will not know how to make it work!

I was thinking of the same thing. I was going to setup a photo back drop and setup my Ipad with tripod. I think it is a great idea. I didn't realize how much photography and videography cost. I wanted the guest testimony with my package which was hundreds more so this was going to be my alternative. As far as noise my wedding is going to be in a backyard and I will put this away from the dj and dancefloor and more near my reception cocktail area.

That sounds fun.... can I steal that Idea? May I know the what app can I use for this? Thanks.

View Quoted Comment Good point. Definitely opens up to a lot of potential issues. I do have a DOC. Luckily I’m meeting with her tomorrow! I’ll see if she thinks this is doable.. she bring la 3 assistants with her so hopefully between the 4 of them and their crazy walkie talkie ear pieces they can keep an eye on it.

I think I saw this on an episode of some bridal show before. I think its an awesome idea and would be so much cooler than guest pictures or signatures!

I would love to know what Apps you saw? I have looked on the app store (i have an iphone) and can't find any!

That could save a bunch of $ - but I really want to relax and just trust in a professional videographer. Would have to cut costs elsewhere.

Hi!! I just had the same idea and started doing research and this post came up. Did you have any development / luck?

I was recently in a wedding where they had a video guestbook.. it was so fun to watch all of the videos the next day. The company who rented the photo booth that had to guestbook was called The Gold One and they're located in NY. I understand trying to save money, but wanted to throw this option out there in case you decided you didn't want to DIY.

Pics and video were great quality too. I'm trying to see if I can get them to come to my wedding in NC! Lol.
