Dedicated April 2020

What would you do?

Marie, on January 3, 2020 at 2:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
I created a Save the Date FB event and in that one of my cousins responded as NOT COMING.
Now that I’m getting ready to send official invites should I send him an invite and let him RSVP or should I take his STD response as-is and not send him an invite. Or is it rude to just straight up ask him?
We aren’t close. But I’m inviting all of our family so..

I would still send an invite just in case. It may have been a mis-click or plans could have changed. The last thing you want is to bank on him not coming, only for him to tag along with the rest of his family (because he was originally included) and then you don't have a seat/meal for him. Better safe than sorry!

I would still send them an invite since he received the save the date invite. Just in case he changes his mind.

He already has plans or he would have said coming. I would take it as. At least you already asked.

I would still send an invite, in case his schedule changed or he wants to send a gift.

I more so agree with this poster but I can see where others come from. Since you two are not close that's why i feel your cousin has made a decision.

I would still send an invite. Plans change. We had a cre people tell us after the save the date that they couldn't make it, but I still wanted to formally invite them in case circumstances changed and they could attend.

Plans change all the time, especially in the usually-decently-long period between save the dates going out and invites going out. Just good sense to send him an invite.

He responded that he wasn't coming, I would not send him one.

Personally, I would not send an invite when he already responded he wasn't coming.
