Hi all

This question just popped into my mind. And I have to say, I would be DESPERATE. Is there anything someone can do to avoid this OR is there anything you can do if it happens on our special day?

What is your opinion? Has it happen to you or someone you know? How do you handle such kind of things?

I had a gallbladder attack a short time before my wedding. They were even considering removing it weeks before the wedding but I said no. Halfway through the wedding it acted up so bad that I was literally running outside every so often about to throw up!! I had cramping stomach pains and SEVERE nausea all night. No one knew at all! I never even got to see our dessert table or flambe station because every time I tried to go near it the smell would make me want to hurl. Yes, I would have preferred to have felt great that day...to be able to drink and eat all the amazing food we paid for....but I did not let it ruin our day or show it to any of my guests....in the end pretty much nothing can ruin your day unless you let it!

Well, for all you Greys Anatomy fans, I guess that DEPENDS how hard core you are. j/k. IJosh was Best Man in a wedding about 2 yrs ago and he was sick with the flu for the rehersal, wedding, reception. i felt terrible for him. He stayed clear of liquor and took Emetrol for nausea/vomiting and a probiotic chewable for any intestinal issues. And unflavored Pedialyte (gatorade is good too) to stay hydrated! He did AMAZING and I really dont think that anyone was any the wiser... truly the best man. :>)

If I get sick on the wedding day then it will be screw you flu. It is my wedding day I will have make up artist do a little extra makeup to make me look not sick and then I will walk down the aisle. I will probably start taking vitamin c and drinking tons of oj in the weeks before my wedding.

Suck it up and giggle when they got to the "in sickness and in health" part.

We had a few brides that this has happened to. I have also been sick with the flu when I have been booked to DJ a wedding. I (and my brides) did what everybody said above: swallow a pharmacy! Smiley smile Haha! The BEST thing is the LIQUID "Tylenol Severe Cold And Flu". It's an orange liquid and it's the BEST thing! But it has to be the liquid, not the pills. It works miracles! Smiley smile

I would definitely try to power through it. But this is also another reason why I'm getting married in the summer instead of the fall or winter, because there's less of a chance of having a cold/flu
