What wines are you serving?

I’m serving a blackberry Merlot from a local winery here in S TX and I’m looking for a sparkling wine or champagne to serve and for toasts. I like sweet. Has anyone tried Verdi? I need to buy a bottle and try it. Prosecco and Rose just weren't for me.

We are doing mimosa for our brunch reception using Freixenet Cava and serving Barefoot's Prosecco for the toast. I prefer very sweet but most of my family prefers very dry so I tried to find things everyone could like well enough.

I've tried Verdi. I really like it. I'm a sweet wine girl, too. I have no idea what's good if you like something more on the dry end.

Our bar package includes the following: chardonnay, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, zinfandel. I’m not thrilled with the Zinfandel, but we have some sweet wine drinkers so that may work (we’re checking to see if we can switch it to a Riesling). Our package also includes champagne for toasts. While it isn’t our perfect wine list (we are major wine people who know what we like and don’t like) it’s a good variety to hopefully please the masses.
