My dad's farm technically. But the first venue we officially toured ended up being the one. Beautiful limestone building with rustic wooded interior and an open balcony surrounding the inside.
First venue was an absolute disappointment! But upon leaving they gave me a bridal magazine and on the ride home while sadly thumbing through it I saw the words “Refreshingly Different” across the ad for Insignia and was immediately intrigued. I emailed them and before we got out of the car I had an appointment set!... and that become “the one”
The first one I visited was due to me hearing it was cheap aha and it did end up being the cheapest venue of all the ones we visited. It was actually my choice for that reason because I felt it was substantially cheaper. However I am so glad we didn't end up with it because in the end they had to shut down due to low profit margins - the irony. it was called empress harbor
Sea Cliff Manor! Even though I had my heart set on a beach wedding, Sea Cliff was a gorgeous garden setting on a cliff overlooking the Long Island Sound - and it turned out to be the one !
I only looked at one for the ceremony and that was the one that I wanted, but for reception I looked at multiples. I believe the one we chose was like the 4th one I had inquired about and it is the best by far
Pantagis Renaissance in Scotch Plains, NJ. We went just this past weekend. It is not quite the one for us. But if we cannot find anything perfect, we might just go with it.
