What underwear/gear did you wear when wedding dress shopping?

Gear? You going to combat or dress shopping?

I wore a mint green strapless bra and black panties :-)

That is all .... well, I wore clothes into the place.

I wore white underwear and a strapless bra. But most dress stores have shapewear that you can try on with it if you don't like the way it looks without it.

I wore a strapless slip. It worked with all dresses and I was modest for the consultant

I wore a nude strapless bra and some cute boy short panties…I wanted full coverage for my tushy but still fun…they were lilac and gray the colors of my wedding!

I wore boy shorts underwear and a strapless bra, but they gave me a corset bra and slip to try the dresses on with anyway.

@Rebekah - I said gear because last time I just said underwear (on another forum) they only specified what underwear they were wearing, no mention of bra or shapewear

I'd like to have my corset/bustier already bought by then. But tbh, I was just planning on my strapless bra and a pair of nude cotton panties LOL

A friend who is a sales associate in a bridal boutique told me:

1 Wear spanx/girdle

2 Bring 2 bras - strapless and regular

3 Wear shoes in the height you plan to wear

Nude strapless, panties and spanx.

I wore a strapless bra and full-bums. It seemed to work alright!

I wore a white padded strapless and white jersey boy short undies. Considering the fact I was dressing in a room with the consultant, mymom, FMIL and both MOHs iI think I was pretty decent. Lol

I didn't wear anything special. The bridal shop provided a strapless bra and slip.

I had on a strapless bra and a thong. Didn't really think about trying to cover up, nor did I really care. Lol I'm not all that modest about that stuff.

They gave me a slip and a bustier to try on with dresses, though, so it didn't matter what I had on originally anyway.

I wore an under wire bra and boy shorts with a foundation tank top (took straps down for strapless dresses)

I wasn't worried about the consultant seeing me...at one point ( we were only ones in shop) I walked out in my underwear holding a dress up in front of me....

I wore my shape tank, because I planned on wearing shape wear the day of my wedding too. May not have to (dress has built in everything!)

This is actually a giggle memory for myself and my DD. I wore a comfy running suit with a white bra...but as soon as we were headed to the dressing room, I realized that I had, like usual, gone commando! LOL! Consultant offered me paper panties...but my DD ran next door to Marshall's and bought me a pair of white panties. LOL
