What types of dances did you do for parent dances?

So we definitely want to do parent dances but don't want it to be too complicated. Neither of our dads/moms live near us so we don't have a lot of time to practice. My dad and I will only have 3 days max to practice and I honestly have never seen him dance. I'm guessing he's not much of a dancer. Did you guys just sway with your parents or try to do more of a classic same 2-3 steps of ballroom dancing etc?

I think that comes down to the couple. I plan to just sway with my dad (He can not dance to save his life). But my fiance and his mom may do a more classic step. My fiance and I also will be doing a more coordinated step. But most weddings I've been to its very simple!

FHs mom says she feels awkward dancing. We asked her if 30 seconds will do. She said yes. Maybe a 30 second dance with each or a group family dance?

We didn't choreograph any of our dances, but I have seen people that have. My one friend started her father daughter dance as a slow dance then transitioned into a choreographed dance number. Her guests loved. It is totally up to you.

We just did a slow dance. I don't think you have to do something choreographed if that doesn't work for you

We didn’t choreograph ours at all. Honestly I mostly saw it as an opportunity to have time with my dad in my big day to thank him for everything. We just quietly talked and joked throughout the song as we danced and I loved every moment of it.
