Soo a recent discussion got me wondering about this...all of the articles and pieces of advice I've seen say to respond to this rude question by saying something to the effect of "we are having an intimate wedding with only close friends and family."
Ok...so my problem is that we are inviting a little over 300 people. It's clearly beyond just close friends and family. Yet I still get this question ALL the time.
The main reason I get it is because my fiance was in a fraternity in college and we're still close with a lot of those guys...but it would be just ridiculous to invite the entire fraternity...plus, where do you draw the line? I'm not going to invite some pledge who just joined...ughh. The problem is that a bunch of the alumni are getting married right now and everyone in the fraternity expects to be invited to all of these weddings...
Anyway, what is your advice for what to tell people when they ask? I can't say that we're having a "small intimate wedding." Thanks!
