What to get your bridesmaids for wedding day without going overboard?

I would get them something not wedding related as everything you named sounds like it's going to be used for the wedding. For example, I love nice relaxing baths so bath bombs would be something nice and not overly expensive. I would get each girl one thing that pertains to her interests.

I think thats plenty. Many people appreciate a small duffle type weekend tote bag.

On WW you will find most people say to shop like you would for birthday/Christmas. Honest opinion is I think the bridesmaids gifts are kind of silly. I've had hair/makeup paid for and thought that was a gift in itself. Then was surprised with a gold initial necklace and really nice flannel pajamas embroidered with my name.

I'm assuming the robe and hairpiece are for the wedding, so honestly it's not really a gift for them as such. I would put a little personalized item into each bag that reflects their personality or interests.

I do like the idea of jewelry because you can often reuse it after the wedding and it doesn't seem wedding specific. I would definitely consider something they can use which seems like you are doing.

I had blanket scarves/shawls embroidered with my bridesmaids initials meant to be worn at the wedding, but a color that works as casual winter wear afterwards.

I also am a bit crafty, so I hand-embroidered a decorative hoop for each of my girls in their own wedding colors as a thank you

I agree with everybody else, I would probably
get each girl a personal gift. It doesn’t have to be anything huge or expensive. Maybe a nice candle?

I got each of my bridesmaids a bottle of their favorite wine and got wine labels from Etsy that said "pairs well with bridesmaid/ maid of honor duties." I thought it was a nice way to incorporate something non-wedding-y but still relate to the day.

Based on past experience of receiving jewelry that is not a style I would ever wear, that was scratched off the list because it is their responsibility to provide accessories and pay for their dresses.


Not into the robes/pjs trend because they don’t work for all sizes. Regardless of the price. Anything for the wedding day or the pictures is a prop for you, not a gift for them. That is why people here say shop like it’s birthday.
