What to do for groomsmen when you're eloping

Are you thinking personalizes gifts? I would plan a get together rather than a gift. For my FH and his friends something like getting tickets to a baseball game or going on a brewery tour would interest them. I understand the desire to honor the people he would have asked, but I think it’s more appropriate to ask them out to celebrate rather than buy them something. Are you having a reception or party of any kind with family and friends after you elope?

I live the idea of experiences, too. Movie, concert or sports tickets, a sport outing, bar crawl with the first round on your FH.

I wasn't a fan of a gift because it is so impersonal and unlike the traditional situation when you have a wedding a gift is to thank them, show your appreciation and in ways return the funds that the groomsmen would have spent on tux rentals, hotels, hosting parties etc. which wont be a factor. I think that planning a get-together or an activity for them to enjoy together would be a great way to let them know how important they are to him.

Is there anything that they love doing together when they get the chance? Like watching a game at a bar or something like that?
