Hey guys! What time are you guys getting married and why’d you pick that time? I’m debating on having a late afternoon wedding but was wondering what you guys chose!

We chose 4:30pm because that's just what worked given everything else. Our venue had a 10:30 pm noise curfew and my HMUA needed 5 hours to get myself, my 3 bridesmaids, and my mother done before our first-look photos, and since I'm not a morning person by any means, we adjusted our ceremony time accordingly so I wouldn't have to be to the venue too terribly early to get all beautiful Smiley smile Plus, since our ceremony, cocktails, and dinner were all outdoors, we wanted it to be sunny for the ceremony & cocktails, but have dinner during sunset since there were such pretty twinkly lights hanging above the meadow where dinner was had. All-in-all, I think 4:30pm was the perfect start time for us!

Our ceremony and reception is at the same location and we chose 5:30pm for the ceremony to start - basically because we had no choice Smiley xd We're getting married at a museum, which is open until 4pm. They don't allow setup to begin until 3pm, so we figured the earliest we could do and still be comfortable is 5:30pm. It'll be summer so it will still be light out and warm!

Our ceremony is from 6:30 - 7. Cocktail hour 7-8. Reception 8-12. But we're getting married on a Friday, so we're starting at a later time to allow people to get off work/drive from work.

Ceremony Starts at 4:30 and will last about 45 minutes or so. We will have a receiving line immediately after and then the reception will start right after than all in the same venue. we will end it at 11pm.

We wanted an evening reception to party into the night, so we just stated from the end time to figure out how much time we needed for each thing.

Our ceremony began at 3. Lasted about 35 minutes (full Lutheran liturgy). The guests went immediately to the cocktail hour for about 45 minutes. The reception ended at 9pm. It was plenty long and trust me I was tired enough even though I went to bed by 11!

I definitely wouldn't change the time!

We are debating a late afternoon as well since we will be getting married in the summer! We just cannot decide 5pm or 6pm, we want sunset pics for after the ceremony, so we are trying to base it off that. Smiley smile

Our ceremony will be at 6 pm (the venue only does morning and evening weddings)

We're getting married at 5:00pm because that is the time that our venue does ceremonies at. Not that I would have wanted it any earlier anyway.

We chose 3:30 because we had the venue for a certain amount of hours and wanted to time dinner to accommodate our older guests. The timing felt perfect.

5:30! Wedding is on a Saturday in April so should be a nice time to get pictures. Reception will be at the same location and we have the venue for 5 hours but we shall see if it goes that long.

1:30pm. It's mainly so our reception ends by 9pm because I don't want a super late night!

Ideally we would like to go out for a few drinks with friends after the wedding (which everyone has already said they definitely want to do) and then just go home and sleep for 42 days lol.
