Hey guys! What time are you guys getting married and why’d you pick that time? I’m debating on having a late afternoon wedding but was wondering what you guys chose!

We are having the ceremony at 11, and having a brunch meal. Honestly though I wish we had pushed it back an hour, because it's going to be a tight timeline in the morning.

Our ceremony is at 1 and our reception ends at 8. I did that because I have a lot of young nieces and nephews that are coming to the wedding and I wanted the wedding to be enjoyable to them and for my sisters. So I didn’t want it too late and past their bedtimes

My ceremony starts at 4:30. I had no choice that’s the earliest time I can start at the venue I chose lol

We did 4:00 on a Friday which was perfect for us because it gave us plenty of time beforehand to get ready, the outdoor lighting was perfect for pictures around 5, and we were able to go right on to enjoying the cocktail hour and reception with our guests.

My wedding will be on a Sunday 5pm-midnight but I have a feeling it will end earlier which I wouldn’t mind

My fiancée and I chose to do an afternoon wedding. We are having our ceremony at 3 Pm and will be doing pictures following our ceremony. We chose this time so we would be able to enjoy the feast with our guests after pictures and not feel rushed.

We are getting married at 1pm. It's mainly because I know we are going to be exhausted and I know I won't want to stay up all night so we wanted the reception to end at around 9/10pm! That way it will give us some time to help clean up the reception area and go out with friends if they want to and if we end up getting a second wind and feeling like it!

I’m doing 3:30pm and I picked it because that is what my venue suggested. No other thought was put into it hahah.

Our wedding is at 4pm. There were 2 choices with the venue 4p or 6p. We felt 6p was a little late so we went with 4p

Our ceremony is at 11:30am followed by brunch and brunchy style cocktails.
    Reception will end by 5:00pm

I know some people think having a morning/lunch wedding saves money but let's clear that up lol. It's actually costing us the same. The brunch price per person was the same as their dinner price. And the price for open bar cocktails(mimosa, sangria, Pina colada, beer, sodas) actually cost the same as their standard open bar.

Many of the vendors (photographers, make up, decorator etc) are not giving any discount despite being able to most likely do another wedding. Our planner is giving us a little discount though which is nice.

The reason we chose a morning wedding and brunch reception is because I really am not a fan of dancing lol or a the big nightclub style partying. So I feel this will fit perfectly. Of course some dancing but without the pressure on me to participate since there won't be much free time. We have photo booth, hora loca (day time version lol) with a traditional folklore performance which is common here.

We chose 6:00 because sunset will be 6:36 and that way the lighting is perfect!

We chose 3:30 so that way the pictures after the ceremony would be around sunset (December) and the venue has a backdrop of the mountains so it’ll be really pretty 😊

I originally wanted a sunset ceremony, but I’m doing. a June wedding so sunset is after 7pm and there is a sound ordinance to end by 9-10pm. So we will do 430pm and reception from 5-10pm I think!

I wanted an evening wedding but also wanted to have an outdoor wedding. Sunset on our date is 5:06pm so ceremony is at 4:30pm. If it didn’t get dark so early in December I would have had it later.

That was our reasoning for picking our time as well. We have outdoor photos scheduled so we wanted the best lighting possible (its important to my FH who goes to school for directing and photography).

Ceremony is at 3pm, reception ends at 9pm per noise ordinance in our area. It's going to be a Sunday afternoon/evening, and many of our guests will have to go to work the next day, so we are fine with the 9pm end time.
We are doing First Look and photos prior to the ceremony so we have more time with our friends and family after the ceremony, and everyone can eat and dance.
