What tables need table skirts?

Christine, on June 27, 2013 at 4:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

So I'm trying to save some money and also not be so wasteful. I'm trying to cut back on table skirting in certain areas. I really want it for the head table and for the cake tables. We are also offering a candy buffet and a mix of fruits with the cake and as well as snacks before the actual wedding dinner starts. Don't cringe when I say this, but we are doing plastic. It is totally fine in my area to have a "plastic" wedding and it will be easier for my folks to clean up. We are getting married where my great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, and sister got married, so it's super important even if I can't have the linen because of the hassle. My parents are paying for a full catered meal, and it will be "formal" but just with plastic. Oh man...I'm having one of those redneck interventions. I moved away to have a better life and lifetyle but I still love my little hometown. But anyway, any advice is great.

IMO, none of the tables *need* skirts.

If you want them for the head table and cake tables that sounds good. If you want to add them to the candy and buffet tables, that will look good, but it's far from necessary.

Wouldn't a plastic table skirt be under $5?

We put the cake on the head table. It was cut and removed before dinner. The head tablel was the only table skirted.
