What song are you using for your anniversary dance?

What song are you using for your anniversary dance during your reception? You know, the one where all the married couples get on the dance floor and the DJ calls out lengths of time starting with 1 year, 5 years, 10 years etc with each married couple leaving the dance floor when their length of time is called and the last couple standing gets a special bouquet!

I thought about doing this because I think it’s so cute but now I’m not sure. I think Still the One would be a good song, or Stand by Me if you wanted something slower.

We aren’t doing the times thing of the gift (we have a three way tie for anniversary) but we are using the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran or I was Made for Lving You by Tori Kelley and Ed Sheeran

We aren’t doing this because I don’t want to give people a reason to leave the dance floor. Once they leave the floor it’s harder to get them back on.

That being said, I think that perfect songs for it would be “a thousand years” by Christina Perri or “Then” by Brad paisley

We did "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. Stand By Me, as someone said, is also a good option. We did that for the mother/son dance.

We did "When I Said I Do" by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman. Smiley heart I love the idea of "Stand by Me," though!

We are doing Anniversary by Tony Toni Tone. It's a great song and not too slow or fast.

It's an alternative to the whole bouquet/garter toss thing. Usually, the longest married couple gets the bride's bouquet.

My bouquet is fake, so I'm keeping it, but I will be using the bouquet from a BM who dropped out as the prize.

For our anniversary dance, the longest married couple was supposed to be my husband's grandparents. For our song, we researched top songs for the year they got married. Our choice was "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis.
