Somewhere meaningful to you and your future spouse? Convenient location and unbeatable price?

Yes we’re using the curtain if the sun comes in the window too much but otherwise there are strung lights in the giant window too! Reception will be held in the barn whereas the ceremony y will be held on the island after you walk across the bridge.

Ooh, very cool that there is a stage at your venue! Are you going to put a head table (or sweetheart table) on the stage? Or the DJ/band?

Ooh, I love those wine barrels!
As for the chuppah, I think that looks really pretty! It's a different type of tree than the one behind the ceremony location, but there's no rule that they have to match. Especially with the flowers and greenery on it, I think it'll dress up the ceremony space beautifully! Are you doing both the wine barrels and the chuppah?

Oh my gosh, so pretty!! Lots of beautiful ways to decorate the staircase. What types of decor are you thinking? Here's a couple inspiration pictures I found: You could also put something like this at the top of the stairs:

We chose the Carriage House in Galloway, NJ. We love the outdoor ceremony space and grand foyer staircase at my venue, but what really sold us was how affordable it was for what was included. We don’t have to worry about catering, getting ready off-site, or the stressful process of setting everything up on the day of. There was definitely venues in my state that I found more beautiful, but this was the overall winner in terms of both affordability and beauty.

Maybe!!! I really want it to be vogue but not break the bank ha. So I’ll have to figure that out! It’s easy to find wine barrels here. I’ve heard that floral design can be expensive! 😒 ha. So we’ll see! I’m not currently there quite yet in decorations. How are you doing in your wedding planning?

Oh my gosh, that beautiful staircase!! And the chandelier! Awesome that it's very affordable. Are you going to decorate the staircase for your wedding? Do those stairs lead up to the reception space?

Florals can be crazy expensive! My venue provides wine barrels for us to use, so I asked our florist what it would cost for a flower arrangement to put on top of them. We were quoted at $300 per barrel, which I just couldn't justify. I'm thinking we might buy much smaller $30-$40 arrangements instead and set them on top of each barrel. I'm sure you'll find something beautiful and in budget for yours!
Wedding planning is going well here! Got the big things all off the list, now just finalizing the smaller details. Looking at smaller decor items and the "extras" that we need to buy, like a cake topper, wedding day accessories, and finishing the wedding party gifts. How is your wedding planning going?

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea! I’m thinking grabbing flowers from Trader Joe’s or even fake ones that look real. Which is something I find a bit tacky, but, if they look real, it might be worth it. We’ll see!!! Gotta keep an open mind! Ha. Gosh $300 per barrel. That is sooo expensive! Glad to know you got the big stuff off your list! That definitely decreases stress in planning! Wedding planning on my end is good so far: have the dress, booked my venue (for ceremony so far), and our officiant. I’m not sure whether we should have a wedding planner or not. Are you using one? We’re both busy with certain things in our lives but also wanting to save money! So that’s where we’re at!

Flowers from Trader Joes or Costco or somewhere are a good idea! I also like the idea of fake flowers if they look real, or even something like Sola wood flowers! Great way to save on flower costs. I hope you share a photo of what you end up deciding to do, I'd love to see how it turns out!
Awesome that you got a lot of the big things off the to-do list! My fiance and I didn't book a full planner, but we did end up booking a day of coordinator. As far as whether to book one or not, it depends on what you're needing help with. There are different kinds of planners, and each one helps with different things and has a different associated cost. I think a full planner is very helpful if you don't like to plan (or don't have time to plan), or if you need help with ideas and/or vendor recommendations, or if you need help with figuring out what tasks to work on next, etc. In those cases, I think it's worth the cost! Otherwise, you could always do just a month of coordinator, who helps out during the month before your wedding with those last minute tasks (creating a timeline and/or venue layout plan, reaching out to vendors to confirm details and answering their questions, handling RSVPs, etc). Or, a day of coordinator would be good for setup/tear down, keeping everyone on track the day of the wedding, handling any issues that arise, coordinating with other vendors, etc, to keep your wedding day running as smoothly as possible.
The reason I booked my venue was because it totally fit the vide I was going far. On top of the vide, it offered everything you can think of for a great price. I have lodging, wedding planner, tables, chairs, etc... also the family that owns the venue was super nice.
We're getting married in November in Southern California and I really wanted an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. We looked at a handful of venues before choosing ours. And I'm so glad we found it! The outdoor area is beautiful and the indoor space is perfect. PLUS, it's an all inclusive venue. So I don't have to worry about a bunch of other vendors. https://www.wedgewoodweddings.com/venues/southern-california/fallbrook-estate

Oh wow, this is beautiful!! Even better that it's all-inclusive! I love the lighting in that reception space. Is the space in that last photo the location where your cocktail hour will be held?
We’re getting married at a gorgeous wedding lodge at a zoo! When I found out the ceremony veranda was overlooking the African exhibit of the zoo, I was blown away! When they told me I could have live animals at my wedding (like a sloth! 😍) I was 100% sold! I can’t wait til 11/11/22 💖
