What Sold You On Your Venue?

This is the best venue in our hometown with historic significance; an old carriage house complete with cobble floors and original wood. The oak tree is 300+ years old and a perfect spot for an outdoor wedding.

We haven't booked our venue yet, but the one I have my eye on has a beautiful outdoor ceremony location (which is half-off if we also book the reception with them too), a variety of indoor options for reception spaces, great menu options for catering, and a day-of coordinator included in cost (which will be handy because I'm not booking a wedding planner). Depending on the wedding month, there may also be nice and affordable accommodations on site, which will save us on transportation costs for our guests.

So yeah, a lot of pros! Like I said, we haven't booked anything - still in the planning phase, still need to look at venues ... but unless there's a massive red flag, I have my heart set on this location.

View Quoted Comment That's great that you found your 1 one of kind venue space and yes u know what you mean either it was sticky in spots no bathrooms on the lower levels nor dance floor for some or that our guest and ceremony and reception would be shared with the regular hotels guests and a big restaurant window. Our dj would have been in a little corner. AND it was a separate price for just about everything. We found a space if you haven't seen the pics that I post price is good have a couple of hiccups but we are determined to finish paying it off and it came with it's very own DJ

View Quoted Comment We are doing outdoors right by the creek! They have that option for outdoors and on by this giant tree as well outside. Any of them here are so beautiful and we loved this venue the second we toured it. That chandelier is very stunning too!!

Or, you could always add some wine barrels (or other similar table) on either side of the tree with some red/pink/white decor! Maybe something similar to these Pinterest photos?:

As far as the chuppah will go, I really like this kind of wood or sticks. I just don’t know if it would match the venue.

I'm always a fan of beautiful ceremony spaces, and it's even better that you'd get a price discount if you book reception with them too! What does the ceremony space look like? Is it in a garden? Or by a pond? Or among some tall trees?
