What shoes did you wear with your wedding dress?

Hey everyone!
So I have bought my dress (pictured below, excuse the weird pose... I was holding up a mirror to see the back) and I'm starting to wonder what sort if shoes I should wear with them. I'm thinking shorter wedges may be a smart choice as I am too clumsy for heels. My fiance is 5'11" and I am 5'4" so might need something the bridge the gap, although comfy flats are an option as well. It seems like shoes that are specifically labeled "wedding shoes" are priced double what normal shoes are. Is there any difference? Can I not just go down to DSW and pick up a pair of wedges?

You can also look for chunkier heels. These are my wedding shoes.

I got my shoes from Amazon. 1” Strappy heels. You definitely don’t need wedding shoes. Just get what you will be comfortable in. I switched to flip flops 30 minutes into the reception. Nobody could even see my feet. I have zero pictures of my wedding shoes.

Your dress looks similar to mine! You can wear whatever shoes you want, there is no rule specifying you have to buy shoes labeled as wedding. I bought $10 heels for the wedding, and I'm wearing TOMS for the reception.

Of course you can go to DSW and buy what you like. I'd also recommend checking out places like Nordstrom Rack if you have one near you.
My shoes were still on the pricier side, but just a google search helped me find them at half of what they were on Zappos and other sites.

Get whatever you want. I got mine from DSW. They’re Jessica Simpson block heels in a blush color. The color does not match my overall color scheme but no one is going to see them so I didn’t really care.

I’m wearing wedges because I’m awful in heels and they’re actually really comfortable considering how high they are for me. I think you should just buy what you like and what you would be most comfortable in!

I’m getting a simple pair of heels with a small heel. I can’t imagine standing around in stilettos all night. Get what is comfortable for you. Unless you’re wearing a short dress, which you’re not, no one will see your shoes.

When my mom got remarried she actually took a pair of thick sole white sneakers (picture ked style), hot glued some pearl and lace looking ribbon around them for some "fancy" and wore those under her dress. no one really knew until it was garter time, and she was comfy all day. we come from a long line of clumsy. not sure what I will do as FH and I are nearly the same height and I'm bound to trip on air. but it's your day, wear what you want.

You most definitely do not have to buy wedding shoes. It's completely unnecessary. Just make sure that whatever you get, you're comfortable. Most likely no one will see your shoes either way
